Senior level individual contributor who takes an active role in leading and directing the sales activities for specific distribution channels or region with emphasis on attaining high productivity and profitability within specific Warranty products and sales verticals. Recognized as a senior level, technical expert in a Warranty product/sales capacity.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines:
- Markets and manages new business opportunities and renewals for specific distribution channels/programs through agencies, the brokerage community and direct relationships. Gathers needed information and helps to underwrite, rate the risk and implement the business.
- Participates and may take lead in management of key accounts and partnerships, actively calling on key contacts and assisting underwriters and program managers as necessary.
- Partners with the marketing group on design, distribution, development and changes to product specifications as needed while working toward identification of new channels/vertical/product opportunities. Works with the program managers and CNA Management to develop the marketing strategy for the given Warranty programs.
- Partner with broader Warranty & Alternative Risks team on developing new products and go-to-market plans and strategies, in collaboration with broker partners, clients and strategic partners.
- Develops and maintains agency, broker and partner (TPAs) relationships to reach positive and profitable outcomes on the sale of programs.
- Keeps current on Warranty industry activities and trends. Participate in industry trade groups, attend industry conventions and make internal and external presentations.
- Reports business progress to senior management and program managers and develops ad hock reports as needed. This includes managing the Salesforce reporting for the broader Warranty & Alternative Risks team.
May perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- Senior level knowledge of selling principles and practices, technical expertise, and knowledge of the organization and industry.
- Excellent ability to identify and cultivate strong relationships with client base.
- Results oriented with ability to develop and implement tactical sales strategies, business plans and new product go-to-market strategies, which support organizational vision and goals.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business related software, including Salesforce.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills. Ability to effectively interact with all levels of CNA's internal and external business partners and prospects.
- Creativity in resolving unique and challenging business issues.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Master's degree and/or professional designation strongly preferred.
- Typically a minimum of 10 - 15 years progressively more responsible account/management/sales/marketing experience in the Warranty industry.
- Ability to deliver results as in individual contributor and meet established sales goals within identified timeframes.
- Knowledge and experience in the insurance and/or warranty industries. Preferred experience with specific product/distribution channel.
