Wan Engineer
Basic Qualifications for Consideration:
- The Client WAN Engineer is expected to possess in depth WAN Engineering skills in order to develop best practices, refine operational procedures and constantly think pro-actively incorporating automation to reduce manual tasks and increase productivity.
- This role requires a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual, possessing strong written and verbal communication skills and has significant experience in supporting large-scale enterprise class networks.
- 5+ Years of related IT experience.
- Hands-on experience in software development specifically in Python, GIT, Ansible and YAML
- Hands on experience in Layer 3 protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) route distribution, router filtering.
- Hands on experience with various network solutions (SDWAN, MPLS, IPsec, S2S, DMVPN)
- Hands-on experience in Layer 2 protocols (HSRP, VRRP)
Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience and appropriate certificates.
- The desire and ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative environment is essential.
- Knowledge in the Linux/Unix environment.
- Substantial background in large scale network implementations and support.
- Knowledge of network hardware and packet forwarding architectures.
- Load balancers and Firewall knowledge a plus.
