Job Responsibilities
The Technical Operations Coordinator is responsible for ensuring reliable and high-performance conference room operations supporting secure meetings, briefings, and collaboration within Intelligence Community environments. This role focuses on the setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and lifecycle support of audiovisual (AV), video teleconferencing (VTC), and information technology (IT) systems.
- Oversee the setup, configuration, operation, and maintenance of AV and IT systems supporting Intelligence Community conference rooms, including PowerPoint and Alleo software.
- Analyze, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, networking, and conferencing issues affecting secure meeting environments.
- Ensure VTC systems comply with applicable security protocols, configuration requirements, and operational standards.
- Provide technical support and user training for AV systems, video conferencing platforms, presentation equipment, and related collaboration tools, including Alleo.
- Apply systems engineering principles across the lifecycle of secure AV/VTC/IT systems, including requirements decomposition, interface definition, integration, test planning, validation, risk identification, and technical documentation.
- Conduct inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades of AV and IT infrastructure to maintain performance, reliability, and compliance.
- Support software systems engineering activities for collaboration and conferencing platforms, including software requirements management, configuration control, quality assurance, test execution, release/change tracking, and stakeholder coordination.
- Recommend technical enhancements that improve system reliability, streamline operations, and enhance the user experience.
- Maintain detailed documentation of conference room configurations, troubleshooting procedures, system changes, maintenance activities, and operational reports.
- Collaborate with IT, facilities, cybersecurity, and other technical teams to resolve issues, address operational requirements, and implement system upgrades.
- Support secure enterprise AV/VTC environments through patch and change management, approved configuration maintenance, and compliance with classified-system security and accreditation requirements.
- Provide Tier I/Tier II troubleshooting and technical support for AV, VTC, IT, and associated systems.
- Support system administration and information technology activities associated with conference room and collaboration environments.
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, or master’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, or associate’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience, or high school diploma with 9+ years of relevant experience.
- Hands-on experience with video conferencing platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Webex.
- Experience with AV systems, VTC systems, AV integration, and networking fundamentals.
- Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, networking, conferencing, and presentation systems.
- Working knowledge and experience supporting PowerPoint and Alleo software in conference room or collaboration environments.
- Systems engineering experience supporting the lifecycle of secure AV/VTC/IT systems, including requirements decomposition, interface definition, integration, test planning, validation, risk identification, and technical documentation.
- Software systems engineering experience supporting collaboration or conferencing platforms, including requirements management, configuration control, quality assurance, test execution, release/change tracking, and stakeholder coordination.
- Experience supporting classified or otherwise secure enterprise environments.
- Experience with system security engineering, patch and change management, approved configuration maintenance, and coordination of cybersecurity or RMF/ATO-related compliance activities.
- IT or AV-related certifications such as CTS, ITIL, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent certifications sufficient to meet applicable DoD 8570/8140 requirements at a minimum IAT II level.
Desired Qualifications
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Communications, Engineering, or a related field. Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience supporting classified environments within government agencies, the Intelligence Community, or Department of Defense facilities.
- Familiarity with Intelligence Community operational standards and security requirements.
- Knowledge of automated conference room scheduling, monitoring, and management solutions.
- Experience with Alleo’s interactive content collaboration platform.
- Experience providing technical assistance and training to users on conferencing, AV, VTC, and collaboration technologies.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to resolving technical issues.
- Systems administration experience.
- Information security experience with working knowledge of ICD 503.
- Experience providing Tier I/Tier II system troubleshooting and support for AV, VTC, system administration, and related IT environments.
- Experience coordinating technical activities among IT, cybersecurity, facilities, engineering, and mission stakeholders.
- Experience documenting technical procedures, configurations, test results, maintenance activities, and system changes.
