Opportunity
The Vice President of Training & Development is responsible for the training, coaching, and performance development of Life Surge’s 3-day Impact Class speakers, one of the most critical roles in the company. This position will lead the strategic design, execution, and ongoing evolution of speaker training programs, ensuring that speakers are compelling, persuasive, and highly effective in driving enrollments and conversions for Life Surge’s core education products (Trade, Real Estate, and Business).
This leader will also drive sales process innovation, script optimization, and talk track development, ensuring that Impact Class presentations remain relevant, engaging, and highly impactful in today’s rapidly evolving marketplace.
Responsibilities:

Own and lead the comprehensive training program for all 3-day Impact Class speakers, ensuring mastery of sales messaging and delivery techniques.

Conduct weekly training sessions focused on improving speaker effectiveness, refining delivery, and reinforcing key sales psychology principles.

Develop and implement structured onboarding programs for new speakers to reduce ramp-up time and improve initial performance.

Create personalized coaching plans for individual speakers, providing one-on-one mentorship, feedback, and skill refinement.

Monitor live sessions, analyze recordings, and conduct post-event performance evaluations to drive continuous improvement.

Develop and refine talk tracks, closing strategies, and audience engagement tactics to optimize conversions at Impact Classes.

Continuously test and implement new sales psychology strategies to enhance persuasion, urgency, and emotional engagement.

Adapt and evolve the speaker script to stay current with industry trends, market shifts, and consumer behaviors.

Implement cutting-edge presentation techniques, including storytelling, audience interaction, and visual enhancements.

Establish performance benchmarks for Impact Class speakers and track key metrics (e.g., enrollment rates, audience engagement, closing ratios).

Use data analytics, attendee feedback, and NPS scores to assess training effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

Partner with Sales Operations & Data teams to track conversion trends and adjust speaker training accordingly.

Work closely with the VP of Impact Class Sales to align training efforts with sales objectives.

Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Event teams to ensure speaker content aligns with overall brand positioning.

Drive organizational alignment around messaging, ensuring a consistent and compelling narrative across all Impact Classes.

Speaker Effectiveness: Conversion rates per speaker at 3-day Impact Classes.

Training Impact: Reduction in speaker ramp-up time and improvement in overall performance.

Talk Track Performance: Effectiveness of new scripts and closing techniques.

Speaker NPS, Retention Rates & Feedback Scores: Audience response and engagement levels.

Continuous Innovation: Number of successful refinements to scripts and strategies.
Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in high-impact sales training, public speaking coaching, or seminar-based sales environments.

Proven success in training high-ticket, live-event sales speakers to drive conversions.

Expertise in sales psychology, influence strategies, and high-impact storytelling.

Experience in script writing, speech coaching, and audience engagement strategies.

Strong background in public speaking, persuasion techniques, and motivational speaking.

Demonstrated ability to train, develop, and mentor high-performance speakers at scale.

Prior experience in dynamic, high-growth education or seminar-based companies is a plus.
