Fabric is building agentic commerce infrastructure to help merchants grow, sell, and operate in today's AI-powered shopping experience. Backed by top-tier investors and led by industry and AI veterans, we're building foundational technology at the intersection of AI and commerce.
The VP of Strategy & Operations is a strategic partner to the CEO in scaling an AI commerce business. You will live in the numbers: revenue, pipeline, pricing, and unit economics, and turn that analysis into decisions about where we invest and how we grow. Just as important, you will run the company's operating rhythm and own the systems and processes that keep it moving.
What you'll own
- Strategy. Partner with the CEO on how we scale: build the analysis and dashboards that tell leadership the truth, and drive decisions on growth, pricing, and resource allocation from the numbers up.
- Revenue Operations: Own end-to-end revenue operations across new business and renewals, unifying the process, systems, data, and planning behind sales, marketing, and customer success. Own pipeline management and forecasting to drive predictable, scalable revenue growth.
- Chief of Staff to the CEO. Run the leadership and company operational cadence, including leadership meetings, priorities, and follow-through.
- Board Operations. Manage board meetings and board processes end-to-end: scheduling, materials, minutes, consents, and administration, working with outside counsel and our accounting partner.
- Company Systems & Processes. Own the operational backbone across HR, IT, Legal, and FP&A. You'll orchestrate strong external partners (accounting, tax, and legal firms) rather than build big internal teams. You are the single point of ownership, judgment, and follow-through. These functions will report to you.
What success looks like
The CEO has a true strategic partner with a shared, numbers-driven view of the business. A single source of truth for pipeline, forecast, and renewals that leadership and the board use to operate the business. Leadership is aligned on priorities, and important initiatives have a clear owner. Board management is proactive and high quality. Company systems across legal, finance, HR, and IT run predictably without friction, and strategic deals move quickly through pricing, legal, and approval.
What we're looking for
- A strategy background, plus 8 to 12+ years across strategy, operations, BizOps, or chief of staff roles, including an early-stage company where you owned functions.
- Analytical horsepower with operator judgment: fluent in building revenue models, budgets, customer contracts, and pricing, and you know when to source specialists to scale.
- Revenue operations experience: you have built or run the GTM engine, including CRM and revenue systems, sales and customer success process, pipeline and forecasting, and renewal motions.
- Board-level participation: you've prepared board materials and handled board processes with polish and discretion.
- Executive-level presence: this role touches compensation, legal matters, and the CEO's office, and the role is measured on plan delivery.

What We Do
When contemplating the vision for fabric, our co-founder arrived at this: Commerce is about trade, and trade is social dealings between people. It’s also a common framework across all our differences as humans. People often connect through nationality, race, religion, and other constructs, but one of the best ways to connect is through commerce. To facilitate this, something is needed to revolutionize outdated e-commerce technology and platforms. We call this fabric.
Why Work With Us
Commerce is about social dealings between people that can happen between any person in any circumstance. We aim to facilitate these dealings with our commerce platform called fabric. Building fabric requires teammates as diverse as the people it serves and we welcome job applications from anyone aligned with our vision. Join the new commerce fabric
