ABOUT US
Fulwell Entertainment is a global entertainment company with offices in Los Angeles, New York, and London. We create premium content, build audience communities, develop original IP, and produce live experiences across entertainment, sports, music, and culture.

Our portfolio includes award-winning brands such as UNINTERRUPTED and The Shop, alongside premium television, film, digital, and live-event productions for many of the world's leading platforms, talent, brands, and rights holders. Current and recent work includes The Kardashians, Mind the Game, Starting 5, The Grammys, and the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic ceremonies.

We're focused on building enduring businesses around great ideas, great talent, and engaged audiences. That means creating content people love, developing new commercial opportunities, and finding innovative ways to connect storytelling, community, distribution, brands, and IP.

Fulwell is a place for ambitious people who like solving hard problems, moving quickly, and helping shape what's next in media and entertainment.

CORE BEHAVIORS
These guide the ways we work together, make decisions, and bring our mission to life:
  • Be Intentionally Curious: Push boundaries, challenge historic thinking, and incorporate approaches from different industries, geographies, and eras. Venture into your unknown to discover and develop better practices.
  • Strive for Creative Excellence: Be bold, curious, and collaborative. Share what you know, learn from what doesn’t work, and support each other in doing great work — together.
  • Practice Active Inclusion: Welcome differences and honor the unique narrative of each person and community. Foster a company where cultures are celebrated and perspectives are broadened.

ABOUT THIS ROLE
Fulwell Entertainment is looking for a VP, Strategy & Business Development to help drive the company’s next phase of growth.

This role sits at the intersection of corporate strategy, business development and partnership operations and successful candidates will possess a strong existing and evolving understanding of the media and entertainment landscape. They must be able to quickly evaluate new opportunities, organize internal stakeholders, and help move high-priority business development initiatives from idea to execution.

The ideal candidate combines strong strategic thinking, commercial judgment, financial fluency, and exceptional execution. They are comfortable operating in ambiguity, quickly assessing opportunities, organizing stakeholders, and helping move high-priority initiatives from idea to execution

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development Execution
  • Manage priority business development opportunities across Fulwell’s key business areas, including film, television, digital, branded entertainment, live, talent-led ventures, and new IP initiatives.
  • Evaluate inbound and internally generated opportunities to determine strategic fit, commercial value, required resources, and next steps.
  • Help structure and advance partnership conversations with talent, brands, distributors, platforms, agencies, production partners, and other external stakeholders.
  • Translate early-stage opportunities into clear internal materials, business cases, deal summaries, and action plans.
  • Track active BD workstreams, maintain momentum, and ensure next steps are clearly owned across internal teams.
  • Drive internal coordination across active opportunities, ensuring stakeholders are aligned, decisions are made efficiently, and key context, risks, and next steps remain visible.

Strategic Planning & Internal Alignment
  • Support Fulwell’s long-term strategic planning process and help translate company priorities into actionable business development initiatives.
  • Work closely with senior leadership and department heads to align around priority opportunities, resource needs, deal implications, and execution plans.
  • Help prepare strategic materials for internal leadership, board discussions, partner conversations, and external pitches.
  • Synthesize market trends, competitive dynamics, and internal business priorities into clear recommendations.
  • Create structure around ambiguous opportunities so leadership can make faster and better decisions.

Commercial & Financial Analysis
  • Build lightweight business plans, financial models, and opportunity assessments for new initiatives.
  • Evaluate deal economics, revenue potential, cost implications, risk, and strategic upside.
  • Support term discussions by helping clarify business logic, deal structure, value drivers, and negotiation priorities.
  • Read budgets, revenue forecasts, and income statements to assess whether an opportunity is commercially attractive.
  • Pressure-test whether new ideas can become viable, repeatable, and scalable business opportunities.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • 7-10 years of experience across strategy, business development, partnerships, corporate development, consulting, talent representation, media, sports, entertainment, or adjacent industries, with a demonstrated track record of driving commercial outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of the media and entertainment ecosystem, including content, talent, distribution, licensing, brand partnerships, digital, and/or live experiences.
  • Proven ability to identify, evaluate, structure, and execute strategic partnerships, investments, or growth opportunities from initial concept through launch and ongoing management.
  • Experience leading commercial discussions, negotiations, and cross-functional deal processes, with sound judgment and the ability to balance creative, operational, and financial considerations.
  • Strong financial acumen, including experience building business cases, financial models, market analyses, and investment frameworks to support decision-making.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize ambiguous information into clear recommendations and actionable next steps.
  • Strong project leadership and execution capabilities, with the ability to independently manage multiple high-priority workstreams and drive initiatives from idea to implementation.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate effectively across creative, production, legal, finance, talent, and executive stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Strong relationships and credibility within media, entertainment, sports, brand, agency, and talent ecosystems, with the ability to cultivate and expand strategic networks over time.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to create concise memos, executive materials, presentations, and business recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to operate both strategically and tactically. Comfortable rolling up sleeves, navigating ambiguity, and doing the detailed work required to move opportunities forward in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • High emotional intelligence, strong judgment, and a collaborative, low-ego approach that enables effective partnership across all levels of the organization.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
  • The company has better visibility into active business development opportunities.
  • Senior leadership can make faster decisions because opportunities are clearly assessed, organized, and framed.
  • High-priority partnerships move forward with greater discipline and fewer dropped balls.
  • Internal teams are better aligned around what matters, who owns what, and what needs to happen next.
  • New opportunities are evaluated through a sharper lens of strategic fit, commercial value, and execution feasibility.
  • Fulwell has a stronger bridge between long-term company strategy and near-term business development activity.
