Position Overview
We’re looking for a VP of Sales to lead and scale our revenue function. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for building pipeline, improving sales execution, and developing a repeatable go-to-market motion.
This is a first-time VP role. You don’t need prior experience as VP — this position is designed for a proven Senior Sales Director / Head of Sales who’s ready to step into a VP-level leadership role. Position will report to the CRO
Key responsibilities
- Own and lead the end-to-end sales function, including pipeline generation, forecasting, closing, and renewals (if relevant).
- Build and manage a high-performing sales team over time (hiring, coaching, performance management).
- Establish and improve sales processes: qualification, discovery, deal stages, forecasting, CRM hygiene, and reporting.
- Partner closely with Marketing and Product to strengthen positioning, messaging, and GTM strategy.
- Drive consistent revenue growth through a repeatable outbound + inbound motion.
- Work directly with the CRO/leadership team on revenue strategy, planning, and targets.
- Create a performance-driven culture with clear metrics, accountability, and enablement.
- Proven experience leading sales in a B2B environment (startup / scale-up experience strongly preferred).
- Strong track record of hitting targets and closing deals.
- Experience managing and coaching sales reps (or owning a sales team as a player-coach).
- Strong understanding of pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM-based execution.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building structure as you go.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
