The Vice President of Product Management will report to the Chief Operating Officer and be responsible for driving the strategic vision and execution of our Research Administration Product Suite by leading a team of product managers and product owners. As the VP of Product Management, you will drive product portfolio vision and strategy through the effective leadership of the product team while providing business leadership to the organization. In this role, you will work closely with colleagues in engineering, operations, sales, marketing, and finance to optimize product development processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our clients and the market.


Responsibilities

  • Strategically develop and implement a product strategy and roadmap aligned to market trends to maximize opportunities and achieve financial goals - P&L, Revenue, Bookings, Costs, Overhead etc.
  • Lead, develop continue to build out a high-performing product management team, providing mentorship and guidance to foster their professional growth.
  • Collaborate with finance, product management, and marketing on messaging, pricing strategies, and business models to achieve revenue goals. Assure that go-to-market value proposition, price to value and competitive pricing practices into all aspects of the product roadmap and strategy.
  • Partner closely with the engineering team and partners, to execute short and long-term product vision inclusive of establishing priorities and performance KPIs, ensuring an exceptional end-to-end user experience. On-time and high quality releases,  and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and inform data-driven decisions.
  • Analyze product performance and make adjustments to optimize results and ROI. 


Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree; MBA or advanced degree is a plus. 
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a SaaS company. Proven track record of successfully managing and scaling complex product portfolios. 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and build high-performing teams. Experience managing teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Deep understanding of customer needs and behavior in the SaaS space. Experience leveraging customer insights to drive product development and enhance user experience. Familiarity with research administration  is a plus.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and product management tools and software (i.e., JIRA, Confluence).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to analytically defend product decisions and take feedback.
  • Entrepreneurial leader with experience working in PE-backed growth and scale organization willing to adapt and flex to support the success of the team and organization.
