YOUR ROLE
As Vice President of Planning & Negotiation, you will be responsible for driving the entire purchase order (PO) process from planning through execution. Your role will encompass leading cross-functional collaboration with regional teams, negotiating with procurement, and ensuring alignment with global inventory and revenue goals.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the end-to-end process of purchase order (PO) planning and recommendation based on demand forecasts and revenue targets.
- Leading the negotiation process for POs in collaboration with procurement teams until the PO is confirmed and ready for execution
- Working closely and lead teams based in China, India and Germany to implement negotiation strategies and ensure alignment between all regional operations (North-/ South-Amercia, Europe, Asia)
- Managing and optimizing the supply chain forecasting tool, ensuring that PO recommendations are timely, accurate, and reflect current and future inventory requirements
- Ensuring that final POs meet the strategic goals of maximizing revenue and minimizing excess inventory, collaborating with finance and commercial teams to align on budget and forecast expectations.
- Facilitating effective cross-border collaboration, ensuring that global operations are aligned and the execution of POs in sourcing regions (e.g. China and India) is seamless
- Leading the negotiation and procurement team especially Category Managers who are responsible for the RfQs (request for quotation).
YOUR PROFILE
To succeed in this role you:
- Have extensive experience in procurement, planning, and negotiation, particularly in a global eCommerce or retail environment, and in leading team
- Be experienced (minimum 5 years) in leading preferable international teams with minimum 5 team members.
- Are an excellent communicator, able to work with international teams and drive collaborative negotiations across different time zones.
- Bring a strategic mindset, capable of optimizing complex processes and implementing best practices across multiple regions.
- Thrive in dynamic, high-stakes environments and can manage procurement activities efficiently.
- Demonstrate proficiency in forecasting, budgeting, and inventory management tools.
