About the role and team
The Payouts team at Worldpay is a small yet strategically vital group, focused on optimizing and expanding our payouts capabilities within an organization renowned for payment acceptance. This team collaborates closely with Operations, Compliance, Finance, and Enterprise Ops to bridge the gap between payouts and the broader business, driving innovation in a high-impact area. With a global reach and a mission to unlock significant revenue potential, the Payouts team plays a key role in positioning Worldpay as a leader in this evolving space, working dynamically across functions to achieve shared goals.
What you will be doing:

Improve the payouts process by identifying opportunities for efficiency, scalability, and enhanced performance across global operations.

Lead process improvements, including streamlining merchant onboarding and aligning with Operations, Compliance, and Finance teams to optimize workflows.

Drive long-term strategic transformation of the payouts function, implementing automation, building a dedicated operations team, and establishing key performance metrics (e.g., time to revenue, transaction volume, rework percentage).

Ensure compliance with global AML, sanctions screening, and regulatory requirements while maintaining scalability and a top-quality merchant experience.

Identify and prioritize automation opportunities, enhancing payouts infrastructure to unlock significant revenue potential and reduce manual dependencies.

Establish a foundation for market leadership in payouts, presenting KPIs, challenges, and innovations to senior leadership to secure buy-in and resources.
What you bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

10+ years of experience in the payouts or FinTech environment, with a proven track record in scaling payouts operations and leading large-scale transformation projects.

Deep expertise in payouts operations, compliance, risk management, AML screening, and sanctions screening tools, with specific experience in merchant-facing payment processes.

Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to navigate complex organizations and influence teams not directly focused on payouts.

Demonstrated success in process optimization, automation, and driving operational scalability, particularly in enhancing workflows and efficiency.

Exceptional communication and leadership abilities, with experience presenting to senior executives and fostering a positive, “can-do” culture in a global context.
