The VP/Director of Capital Markets will be responsible for structuring, sourcing, and managing institutional capital across project finance, structured debt, equity placements, and investment vehicles. This role serves as a financial strategist, executing on both tactical funding needs and long-term capital optimization across a diverse asset portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Lead capital markets strategy across equity, debt, tax credit financing, and project-level vehicles
- Source institutional investors, banks, private lenders, and financing partners for active and planned projects
- Structure and negotiate debt facilities, credit lines, and infrastructure-backed securities
- Develop offering documents, data rooms, and investor financial models
- Collaborate with internal project teams to align funding timelines with construction and scaling milestones
- Manage relationships with underwriters, placement agents, legal counsel, and capital partners
- Analyze capital markets trends, interest rate environments, and investor appetite
- Support M&A activity, asset monetization, and co-investment partnerships
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field (MBA, CFA, or CPA preferred)
- 8–12+ years of experience in capital markets, project finance, or investment banking
- Strong track record in raising and structuring capital for energy, infrastructure, or industrial assets
- Deep understanding of financial modeling, credit analysis, and securities structuring
- Experience managing cross-border capital flows, tax equity structures, or public-private funding tools
- Experience with renewable energy tax credits, green bonds, or climate finance
- Familiarity with federal and state funding sources (e.g., DOE, DFC, C-PACE)
- Background in working with multilaterals, sovereign funds, or global infrastructure banks
- Advanced Excel, financial modeling, and capital structuring tools
