Leads property and facilities development, management, and maintenance activities aligned with the company mission, vision, and strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manufacturing Operations: Oversee manufacturing operations, production planning, logistics, production engineering, and maintenance activities to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- EHS&Q Management: Ensure site compliance with Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality (EHS&Q) standards and manage related performance.
- Site Administration: Handle all legal and regulatory compliance, representing the corporation at local community events.
- Production Capabilities: Continuously improve production capabilities through process improvements and investments.
- Quality Management: Direct quality management programs to ensure consistent product quality, handle customer complaints, and implement corrective actions.
- Workforce Management: Select, motivate, train, and retain a capable workforce; manage relationships with unions representing site employees.
REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or other related fields.
- Experience: Minimum of 8+ years management/supervisory position in the chemical process industry as a plant production superintendent or higher. Proven experience in managing a chemical manufacturing facility, with knowledge of production engineering, maintenance, and logistics.
- Skills: exceptional transformational leadership with proven experience in driving change and inspiring teams. Possesses outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead projects and collaborate effectively across diverse cultural environments. Exhibits strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, coupled with advanced presentation skills
- Union Management: Experience managing a unionized workforce.
- Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of the technical and business drivers crucial to the operation of a chemical manufacturing facility
- Compliance: Extensive knowledge of legal and regulatory compliance related to hazardous waste treatment and other site activities, with hands-on experience managing operations in PSM-regulated facilities
- Leadership: Proven ability to direct, train, develop, and motivate direct reports and the entire site team.
- Strategic Approach: Demonstrated ability to engage in strategic thinking and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance site operations and achieve long-term business goals
