The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a VP of National Accounts for the New York Metro region who will play a pivotal role in XP's commercial growth.  You will be responsible for sourcing new commercial client opportunities through prospecting, networking, and fostering consultant relationships for groups greater than 10,000 US employees.  You must collaborate with cross-functional teams to quantify and manage all aspects of the sales process and projects, balancing client and internal team objectives and communications.

You will be suited for this role if you have a seasoned track record of sales success with companies in a growth stage and, more importantly, enjoy taking on new challenges with a sense of urgency, energy, and enthusiasm.

Please note that this role requires the ability to travel up to 50% of the time, including at XP headquarters in San Carlos, CA, for training and onboarding during your initial months of employment (Pending Travel Restrictions). 

Key Responsibilities

  • Primarily, you will source new clients with employers greater than 10,000 US benefit-eligible employees.
  • Build a pipeline through prospecting, cold outreach, and working closely with XP Health BDR and Marketing teams.
  • Supporting key tasks and activities as part of the sales process, including supporting RFPs, crafting deal materials, meeting strategies, and handing off closed-won business to our implementation teams.
  • Develop a detailed account plan/forecast.
  • Establish, build, and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders across functions and levels, from C-suite to day-to-day procurement.
  • Nurture relationships directly in your market with companies and other key players, including consultants and brokers; build an on-the-ground presence through face-to-face relationships.
  • Understand each customer’s needs, business drivers, and strategic growth plans.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to break new ground on plan design as needed, implement and sell new products, and holistically drive commercial success. 
  • Help build the playbook - in collaboration with team members and leadership, continue to cement learnings and actively solve for blockers in the customer journey.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience selling healthcare products to employer groups.
  • Extremely organized and able to work efficiently in ambiguous scenarios. You are also comfortable working autonomously in a fast-moving environment.
  • Proficient in leveraging sales tools, especially Salesforce, to drive results. A strong aptitude for quickly learning and adopting new technologies is essential.
  • Document all activity in Salesforce CRM to contribute to real-time pipeline/forecast accuracy
  • Strong understanding and network with employer and consultant community in New York Metro Network?

Preferred

  • Experience with an early-stage startup (Series B or before)
  • Experience with Google Workspace Suite is a plus
  • Experience selling employee benefits or related health-tech product
  • Existing consultant relationships

$170,000$190,000 USD
