POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President of Marketing to lead our marketing efforts and drive the growth of our brand. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies, a deep understanding of the bitcoin industry, and an eye for detail. You will be responsible for deploying and optimizing the marketing budget to acquire and retain clients for Unchained. You will manage a team of talented marketers working to educate the next generation of bitcoiners.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Team Leadership: Lead a high-performing marketing team, providing mentorship, guidance, and support. Foster a culture of collaboration, communication, and accountability.
• Marketing Strategy: Lead the development and implementation of Unchained's marketing strategy to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth. Lower customer acquisition costs by executing a multi-channel marketing strategy. Increase customer lifetime value by executing a multi-surface customer lifecycle campaign involving email, push, landing pages, in-app modals, website banners, etc.
• Brand Management: Oversee all aspects of brand management, including brand positioning, messaging, and visual identity. Ensure brand consistency across all marketing channels and communications.
• Digital Marketing: Direct digital marketing initiatives, including SEO, email marketing, social media marketing, and content marketing. Leverage data and analytics to optimize campaigns and drive results.
• Content Creation: Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling and engaging content that resonates with our target audience. This includes blog posts, videos, and other multimedia content.
• Budget Management: Manage the marketing budget effectively, allocating resources to initiatives that deliver the highest ROI. Monitor performance metrics and KPIs to track the effectiveness of marketing efforts.
• Bitcoin Commons: Manage existing sponsors and increase sponsorships; manage existing members and increase the number of paying members; manage the events schedule and distribution.

WHO YOU ARE:

• You have 6-8 years of experience in content creation, marketing, or a similar role, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership position
• You've managed large levels of spend across multiple marketing channels
• You have a proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies in the financial services or bitcoin industry.
• You have strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
• You have an analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making
• You've managed mobile ad buying
• You've spent significant amounts on sponsorships with effective results (renewal past year 1)
• You've drastically improved the profitability of your marketing efforts in a causal way
• You've grown your budget by 3x during your tenure
• You run experiments that have moved the efficient frontier of spend

• You have a strong network in the bitcoin industry
• You have experience positioning products in intense competitive markets, and have led other product marketing functions
• You have a degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
