Role Overview

The Vice President of Livespot Studios will be responsible for the strategic leadership, growth, and operational excellence of the Studios division. This executive will oversee creative direction, client development, project execution, financial performance, and team management to ensure Livespot Studios remains at the forefront of content innovation across Africa and beyond.

The VP, Livespot Studios will oversee end-to-end production management, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to internal and external clients while continuously expanding capabilities and optimizing workflows. They will lead the operations of Livespot’s audio/TV studios and post-production facilities, maintaining technical excellence, maximizing utilization, and ensuring smooth production-to-post transitions. Additionally, they will drive the development of original scripted and unscripted content, leading ideation, pitching, and packaging efforts, while managing creative teams to deliver compelling and commercially viable productions.

The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with a strong background in content production, storytelling, media innovation, and commercial management.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership

• • Develop and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Livespot Studios in alignment with the overall Livespot360 vision.

• • Drive business growth through new client acquisition, strategic partnerships, and expansion into new markets and platforms.

• Creative Direction and Innovation

• • Oversee creative development, ensuring world-class content and production quality across all projects.

• • Champion innovation in storytelling formats, technologies (e.g., AR/VR, AI-driven content), and distribution strategies.

• Business and Financial Management

• • Build and manage divisional budgets, forecasts, and financial targets.

• • Ensure profitability through operational efficiency, cost management, and pricing strategies.

• • Identify and secure revenue-generating opportunities including branded content, commercials, series, digital content, and special projects.
  • Proactively seek out funding opportunities, partnerships, and co-production deals to support the development and distribution of Livespot Studios properties, ensuring their commercial viability and long-term success.

• Operational Excellence

• • Lead and optimize production workflows, resource allocation, and project delivery timelines.

• • Manage key vendor, talent, and production partnerships to ensure consistent high-quality output.

• Team Leadership and Development

• • Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of producers, directors, writers, editors, and creative talents.

• • Foster a collaborative, innovative, and nurturing culture aligned with Livespot's C.I.T.I.Z.E.N. values.

• Client and Stakeholder Management

• • Serve as the primary point of contact for major studio clients and stakeholders.

• • Translate client needs into impactful creative solutions while maintaining strong relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Media, Communications, Marketing, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
• Minimum of 10 years' leadership experience in content production, media, entertainment, or a creative agency environment.
• Strong creative sensibility combined with sharp commercial acumen.
• Proven track record of building and scaling production teams and delivering award-winning content.
• Experience with traditional, digital, and emerging media platforms.
• Exceptional leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent financial management and project management skills.
• Deep understanding of African and global entertainment and media landscapes.

·       8.00 to 17.00 Mondays to Fridays. (Additional hours may be required).
