The Role

Job Description:

The Vice President, Growth & New Business Development will play a pivotal role in expanding Amplifi's relationships with established opted-in clients, as well as growing opt-ins within dentsu agencies and external new business opportunities. You will work closely with our agency teams, clients direct, and other important stakeholders to ensure that we are creating growth for clients, agencies, and Amplifi by cross-selling our product offering, providing feedback for the refinement of products, and by creating genuinely value-adding commercial solutions for the wide range of client needs.

In this position, you will report to the Chief Client Officer. You are responsible for overseeing the Growth team's response to new business pitches– ensuring the correct commercial approach and strategic alignment with dentsu Investment & Activation team.

This position requires a deep understanding of Amplifi's product offering, the agency commercial model, in particular Alternative Value. As part of delivering this vision, this role is expected to collaborate with all pillars across Amplifi to resolve issues, implement solutions, and optimize processes for both new and existing Amplifi products as needed. You will formulate strategies and conducting analyses to identify, engage, and onboard new clients to the Amplifi group.

Responsibilities:

You will

  • Collaborate with growth specialist(s) responsible for developing and growing Amplifi partnerships inside dentsu agencies, and develops effective ways at engaging and converting those clients

  • Lead strategic prospect and client meetings related to growth and development, in particular new business – both inside and outside the network

  • Articulate and drive new product, process, supply and solution requirements to rest of Amplifi organization – this may be drawing from their own experience, client feedback, industry trends and more

  • Lead education projects on new product rollout and development – must be comfortable pitching to clients and teams and participating in limited external engagements (industry events, panels)

  • Spearhead the development of strategies for the onboarding and integration of new clients into Amplifi and dentsu – including independent and client direct activities

  • Conduct analysis of client performance and alternative income opportunities, identifying areas for improvement and providing relevant insights to senior leadership - being a launching pad to conduct client engagement activities

  • Be a subject matter expert on alternative income, agency commercial models, and act as a resource to senior leadership, within Amplifi and across their designated operational company(ies)

  • Oversee the successful execution of Amplifi's financial, client engagement, and acquisition targets

  • Meet with Directors and main team members and agency members to ensure understanding and analysis of factors affecting revenue forecasts and overall performance

  • Although this role will likely be an individual contributor initially, there is a medium term path to consolidating this into one Growth team

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Media, Communications, Finance or related field

  • Minimum 10 years in a video, digital, programmatic, social activation or investment role

  • Minimum 6 years in an agency ecosystem and business strategy

  • Experience in a management position with team leadership, partnership development and client management responsibilities

  • Highly collaborative and hyper responsive to client requests

  • Deep understanding of the media industry, with strong ability to anticipate and addresses material trends in the marketplace

Additional Information:

The annual base salary range for this position is $136,000 - $182,850. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation.
