WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

As VP Engineering, your objective will be to lead the engineering organisation to transform the business vision into scalable, high-impact products, driving innovation, operational excellence and the development of high-performing teams.

We need someone like you to help us in the following areas:

  • Collaborating in the definition and execution of the company’s technology strategy, aligning it with its business, growth and globalization objectives.
  • Leading the Engineering, Architecture and Data & AI teams, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement, innovation, collaboration and technical excellence.
  • Developing the technology architecture and product platform to ensure scalability, resilience, security and capacity for global growth.
  • Driving innovation in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and advanced analytics, identifying new opportunities to generate value for customers and the business.
  • Working closely with the CTO, Product, Sales and other areas to translate corporate strategy into differentiated technology capabilities.
  • Defining engineering, architecture, quality, security and technology governance standards that enable the organization to scale efficiently.

EXPERIENCE

  • 10+ years of experience in technology, software engineering or data platforms.
  • At least 5 years in executive technology leadership positions (VP Engineering, Chief Architect or similar).
  • Demonstrable experience scaling technology organizations such as SaaS companies, enterprise software, fintech, fraud prevention-related sectors or data and AI-related environments.
  • Track record of leading multidisciplinary engineering, architecture, data and artificial intelligence teams.
  • Experience actively participating in technology transformation, international growth and product evolution processes.

EDUCATION

  • University degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Mathematics, Physics or related STEM disciplines.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  • Strong knowledge of cloud-native architectures, microservices, distributed systems and high-availability platforms.
  • Experience deploying solutions on AWS and using Kubernetes. Knowledge of Kafka will also be valued.
  • Experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Platforms and solutions based on advanced analytics.
  • Knowledge of lean and agile methodologies, DevOps, CI/CD, observability and system reliability.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and influencing skills in multicultural, fast-growing environments.
  • Experience working with enterprise clients and presenting technology solutions to executive stakeholders.
  • High level of English, both spoken and written.
  • Hands-on

OTHER INFORMATION

  • Availability to travel occasionally to visit clients and attend strategic events in Spain and internationally.
  • Previous experience in sectors related to financial crime, fraud prevention and anti-money laundering (AML) is highly desirable.
  • Experience in product environments based on generative AI and advanced machine learning models will be valued.
