The Vice President, Digital will be responsible for leading Club Monaco’s Ecommerce, Marketing, and Creative teams, developing and executing strategies to elevate Club Monaco’s digital footprint and brand reach. They will own the Club Monaco digital experience, customer acquisition strategy, and overall brand positioning. This role combines strategic oversight with operational execution, ensuring that each team functions cohesively and aligns with the brand's vision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ecommerce Management & P&L Ownership:
- Oversee all aspects of the ecommerce financial performance, including collaborating with Finance & Business Planning on setting revenue and profitability targets, managing budgets, and implementing strategies to meet or exceed financial goals.
- Collaborate closely with Merchandising & Planning teams to influence product assortment and planning strategies.
- Lead the ecommerce team’s efforts across Site Ops, Digital Merchandising, and Data Analytics to deliver an exceptional and seamless online shopping experience.
- Partner with Shared Services Tech & Digital teams to drive new site functionality, experience, and innovation, including robust test and learn agenda - driving a fluid and adaptable roadmap based on key business strategies and changes in digital landscape.
- Own the Data: Own CDP and associated customer insights. Leverage data to inform go-forward acquisition, retention and merchandising strategies, site operations, and UX/UI improvements, aligning the online experience with customer expectations and brand standards.
- Customer Acquisition: Lead customer acquisition across all Paid Media, inclusive of PR, Influencer, and Brand Marketing to develop an integrated approach that maximizes reach and drives customer acquisition in all channels.
- Optimize Channel Performance: Craft strategies that leverage a balanced media mix, combining digital, social, PR, and influencer marketing to meet acquisition goals.
- Campaign Deployment: Oversee the full funnel deployment of marketing campaigns, optimizing spend across all channels ensuring alignment with the brand’s overarching goals and contributing to sustained customer growth.
- Creative Leadership:
- Implement a comprehensive global content and marketing strategy that integrates product launches, consumer moments, and brand-building initiatives, ensuring consistent messaging across all channels.
- Oversee Content Strategy and Execution: Lead the Creative team, including Content Creation, Design, Studio Operations and Copywriting, in producing cohesive and engaging content that drives brand awareness and aligns with Club Monaco’s brand voice.
- Customer-Centric: Lead teams to create and implement compelling, customer-centered content that reinforces our brand aspiration and drives engagement.
- Channel Relevancy: Ensure that creative assets and messaging are optimized for their respective channels across paid media, email, and ecommerce platforms to create a unified brand experience.
- International: Partner with Global franchise partners to ensure content needs are met for all relevant platforms.
- Oversee the Creative team and manage responsibilities varying from Studio Operations, Creative Production, Art Direction, Content Creation, Digital Design, and Copywriting.
- Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Collaborate closely with other department heads to align digital strategies with product launches, retail partnerships, and broader company goals.
- Foster a high-performance culture within the team, encouraging innovation, creativity, and results-driven efforts.
- Set clear KPIs and monitor performance metrics, adjusting strategies as needed to meet objectives.
- Trend Analysis:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities for growth and innovation.
Requirements:
- Experience: 10+ years in digital marketing and ecommerce; preferably in a vertical retail apparel business.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Leadership: Demonstrated experience in building and managing high-performing teams across multiple disciplines.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of digital marketing platforms, ecommerce operations, and data analytics tools.
- Strategic Mindset: Ability to create and execute long-term strategies while overseeing day-to-day activities.
- Brand Vision: Deep understanding of brand positioning and the ability to maintain consistency across all brand touchpoints.
- Prioritize and direct multiple activities, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, Club Monaco includes a reasonable estimate of the salary or hourly rate range for this role. This accounts for the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications.
A reasonable estimate of the current compensation is $200,000 - $250,000 annually.
