RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Assist in the development, analysis, design and support of Big Data/Data Science application platforms across Global Markets.
  • Undertake research initiatives on cutting-edge technologies for virtual containers and encryption/decryption mechanisms for services.
  • Execute CI initiatives using Elastic Search, Solr, and Logstash for metrics visualization.
  • Write custom highly distributed Ansible, Python, Bash, Shell scripting modules that are integrated with DevOps tools/ CI-CD frameworks and virtualizing software.
  • Contribute to platform stability forums for identifying functional gaps and monitor platform health utilizing metrics monitoring tools.
  • Utilize Ansible, Jenkins and Bitbucket to design initiatives for critical Big data service health check automations.
  • Extract and formulate high impact routine/triage reports from various traditional & Big-data sources including Oracle, Mysql, Impala, Spark, Hive, and Hbase.
  • Assess improvements and fixes in existing security frameworks on the Big data stack including TLS/SSL updates, CVE vulnerability fixes, Kerberos security implementation & fixes, HDFS encryption and secure LDAP plugin integration.
  • Perform upgrades, configurations, bug-fixes, and scalability on Hadoop technology including HDFS, Spark, Kafka, Impala, and Yarn.
  • Design and architect automation practices, technical documentations and process layouts across Data science toolsets, Big data platform, and CI/CD development stack.
  • Use Java, Python, and Elastic search to build scalable state-of-world application metrics/monitoring solutions.
  • Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.


REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Engineering (any), Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, or related; and
  • 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related IT occupation.
  • Must include 2 years of experience in each of the following:
  • Utilizing Ansible, Jenkins and Bitbucket to design initiatives for critical Big data service health check automations;
