The Role

The Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic VP of Data and Business Intelligence to lead the strategy, governance, and development of our data and BI capabilities. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of data-driven decision making across the organisation, supporting both internal business units and client-facing functions.

As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will oversee the full data analytics and business insight's function, lead large-scale data programs, lead high-performing teams in data integration, business intelligence, and operations, and drive the adoption of best-in-class technologies. You'll be responsible for developing governance frameworks, implementing data quality initiatives, and embedding a data-centric culture that delivers measurable business value for our clients and internal customers.

This is a hybrid role (based from our office in Swords, Co. Dublin) and reports directly to our CFO.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of our Data & Business Intelligence (BI) strategy, aligning with business goals and driving measurable outcomes.
  • Lead all aspects of the delivery of high-impact BI dashboards, analytics tools, and enterprise-wide reporting solutions to support decision-making across all functions.
  • Manage and evolve the data technology infrastructure, including data warehousing, ETL pipelines, and reporting platforms.
  • Establish robust data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, transparency, compliance, and audit readiness.
  • Drive continuous improvements in data service performance, scalability, and support excellence.
  • Collaborate with Executive and Technology leadership to define and implement the data application roadmap.
  • Champion data literacy and foster a data-driven culture across the organisation through companywide education and engagement initiatives.
  • Act as the primary liaison for executive reporting on Data & BI projects—providing status updates, important metrics, scorecards, and actionable insights.
  • Find opportunities for process optimisation and deliver strategic recommendations to the Data Steering Committee.
  • Partner cross-functionally with leaders in Product, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Architecture to ensure cohesive, business-aligned data initiatives.
  • Build and lead a high-performing, multidisciplinary data team, nurturing talent in governance, analytics, and BI.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 10–15 years of senior leadership experience in data management, business intelligence, governance, and master data management.
  • Proven track record of delivering enterprise-grade data warehouse solutions, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise data architecture and infrastructure.
  • Deep expertise in Microsoft Data Stack technologies (SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, APS) and leading BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense, or Looker.
  • Solid understanding of data governance frameworks, data quality management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven experience leading BI strategy, standards, and operational excellence across complex organisations.
  • Proven success in implementing performance metrics, performance indicators, and enterprise scorecards to drive business insights.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard data integration tools and practices.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise data architecture, analytics platforms, and operations, including cloud-based environments (preferably GCP).
  • Exceptional ability to translate complex data concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical partners.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills, with a history of building and mentoring high-performing teams.
  • Leader who is persuasive, decisive, and has a strategic mentality while also being hands-on.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as required (minimal).
