The Controller is responsible for overseeing the company’s accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls. This role partners closely with the CFO as well as other executive leadership to provide strategic financial insights and maintain financial integrity.
Driving Results:- Establishes and enforces financial policies that improve operational efficiency.
- Ensures timely and accurate financial reporting to leadership and external stakeholders.
- Leads financial reporting processes, including month-end and year-end close.
- Develops and improves accounting policies and internal controls.
- Oversees accounting operations, including general ledger management, financial statements, and compliance.
- Implements and monitors internal controls to protect company assets.
- Manages external audits and tax compliance, ensuring smooth and accurate filings.
- Provides strategic financial recommendations based on analysis and insights.
- Evaluates financial risks and opportunities, influencing business strategies.
- Reviews financial statements for accuracy and compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Works closely with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies to maintain compliance and financial integrity.
- Collaborates with executive leadership on financial strategy.
- Partners with department heads to provide financial guidance.
- Ensures compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Maintains transparency in financial reporting and decision-making.
- Leads and mentors the accounting and finance teams to ensure accuracy and accountability.
- Supports internal stakeholders by providing financial insights to drive business success.
- Ensures external financial reporting meets investor and regulatory expectations.
- Proven track record of implementing process improvements and driving efficiencies to enhance financial operations.
- Manufacturing industry experience with expertise in cost accounting, inventory management, and operational finance.
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments where adaptability, hands-on engagement, and problem-solving are essential.
- Demonstrated ability to build, mentor, and lead high-performing finance and accounting teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in accounting, with leadership experience in corporate finance.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial systems. Experience working with MS Dynamics/BC preferred.
- Proven ability to manage teams and drive financial strategy.
