Credit Decision -Engineering Lead

Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. 

Accountabilities

• Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
• Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
• Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
• Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

As a Credit Decision Engineering Lead, you will focus on designing, building, and managing the credit decisioning systems used by our financial institution to assess creditworthiness and make lending decisions. To be successful as a Credit Decision Engineering Lead, you should:

• Architect, define, and develop scalable technology platforms and services
• Have considerable experience in Java, J2EE, Spring, Microservices, and event-driven architectures
• Demonstrate expertise in CI/CD, DevOps, hybrid cloud deployments, and test automation frameworks
• Have experience building resilient and scalable platforms by employing telemetry and observability practices
• Possess expertise in workflow management tools
• Have knowledge of AWS technology offerings

Other highly valued skills include: 

• Experience with workflow management tools such as Experian PowerCurve Originations or similar
• Familiarity with rules engines such as PowerCurve Strategy Design Studio

This role is in our Whippany, New Jersey office.

Minimum Salary: $170,000

Maximum Salary: $240,000

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above includes only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
