About the Role 
We are seeking a VP, Associate Director of Social to join our Experience Planning team and serve as the backbone of our social offering. This leader will blend operational discipline with strategic vision, shaping how we approach social, guiding a talented team, and inspiring clients and colleagues with fresh thinking. 

You’ll ensure our programs are innovative, compliant, and impactful in the healthcare space, while also rolling up your sleeves to keep execution sharp. As a trusted partner across the agency and with clients, you’ll help elevate social into a true driver of brand and business growth. 

Key Responsibilities 

Social Team Operational Leadership 

  • Own, optimize, and evolve the systems, workflows, and processes that keep social programs running smoothly across our agency 
  • Oversee resourcing, team utilization, and timelines across multiple brands and initiatives 
  • Maintain strong partnerships with platform reps and external partners to keep programs best-in-class. 

Social Media Management 

  • Lead and support the team responsible for day-to-day platform execution, including channel setup and configuration, platform support, content publishing across major social channels, and trafficking of paid social ads in partnership with media teams 
  • Proven partnership with media teams and experience architecting paid + organic distribution with clear measurement frameworks. 

Strategic Partnership 

  • Collaborate with Experience Planning, Brand Strategy, Creative, and Account leads to develop social strategies that align with brand objectives, including audience personas, channel strategy, content pillars, and tactical recommendations across paid, owned, and earned channels 
  • Articulate data-driven insights in a logical flow in order to deliver a compelling and enlightening story to client. 
  • Provide thought leadership internally and externally, helping to educate clients and colleagues on the evolving role of social in healthcare marketing 
  • Lead social listening to monitor conversations, track brand sentiment, and uncover insights that guide strategy and content. Combine these with cultural and qualitative research, plus quantitative analysis, to bring the patient’s world to life and inspire meaningful engagement. 

Leadership & Mentorship 

  • Provide day-to-day guidance and mentorship to our talented social team 
  • Build team capacity and confidence by coaching on platform expertise, process, and problem-solving 
  • Inspire brand teams to think creatively and deliver work that elevates the agency’s social craft 
  • Act as a trusted client advisor, confidently leading discussions and commanding the room in client presentations 

Collaboration & Communication 

  • Be a diplomatic and collaborative communicator across internal teams and brand stakeholders 
  • Ensure clarity, transparency, and smooth collaboration across multiple functions and workstreams 

What We’re Looking For 

  • 6+ years of experience at an advertising or social media agency, ideally in healthcare/pharma or a similar regulated space 
  • Proven experience managing social teams and guiding operational processes at scale 
  • Brings fluency in social platforms, best practices, and trends, with the ability to translate them into compliant, innovative strategies for highly regulated pharma contexts 
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines and key stakeholders, building trusted relationships at all levels of the organization to foster cross-functional teamwork and drive collaborative results. 
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills (able to manage details while keeping the big picture in view) 
  • A passion for social creativity and curiosity that inspires others to push the work forward 
  • Curiosity and hands-on experience using AI and automation tools to enhance social strategy, content creation, and workflow efficiency 

The range below represents the low and high end of the base salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of an Omnicom Health company in the United States. Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience, training, associated responsibilities, and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.

 $135,000 - 165,000
