Job Description:
Roles & Responsibilities
· Install, configure, and manage VMware vSphere 7/8.x ESXi Infrastructure
· Perform advanced diagnostics and resolve complex VMware ESXi and vCSA issues
· Troubleshoot ESXi host failures, vCenter outages, and datastore disconnection events
· Build and patch ESXi hosts and vCenter appliances using VLCM, esxcli, and other tools
· Replace custom certificates for vCSA and vSphere Replication (vREP) appliances
· Conduct performance and capacity investigations across clusters, hosts, storage, and VMs
· Configure and manage HA, DRS, SDRS, resource pools, and cluster-level configurations
· Address CPU, memory, and disk bottlenecks and optimize resource usage
· Perform VM migrations (vMotion, Storage vMotion) and resolve related issues
· Support and troubleshoot Fault Tolerance (FT) related configurations
· Manage VCSA backup and restore procedures · Administer vCenter roles, permissions, users, and groups
· Execute routine maintenance: performance tuning, break-fix, troubleshooting, health checks
· Work with server hardware (Lenovo, HP, Dell) and troubleshoot hardware-related issues
· Utilize vendor tools like HP OneView, Lenovo XClarity, Dell OpenManage
· Collaborate with internal teams to resolve technical issues via structured incident/problem/change management processes
· Use ServiceNow (SNOW) for ticketing and workflow tracking
· Document technical solutions and perform knowledge transfer when necessary
Required Skills
· VMware vSphere 7/8.x: Installation, configuration, and advanced administration
· vCenter Server Appliance (vCSA) & ESXi troubleshooting
· Patch management via VLCM or esxcli
· Certificate management for vCSA & vREP
· High availability technologies: HA, DRS, SDRS
· Performance tuning and capacity planning for virtual infrastructure
· Hands-on experience with vMotion, Storage vMotion, and FT
· vCenter User and Role Management
· Familiarity with hardware management for Lenovo, HP, and Dell
· Backup and restore strategies for vCSA
· Strong understanding of basic networking
· ITIL practices: Incident, Change, and Problem Management

· Knowledge of Aria Operations / Aria Operations for Logs
· Exposure to AWX automation platform
