Job DescriptionProject – the aim you’ll have
The project is for a client in the real estate industry sector. You will work on a replatforming project, migrating subsidiary services to a modern AWS integrated platform.
Position – how you’ll contribute
- Execute migration plans for subsidiary services with minimal business disruption.
- Modernize infrastructure by containerizing services and deploying them to Kubernetes.
- Manage cloud databases by migrating PostgreSQL instances to AWS RDS.
- Maintain operational excellence by supporting DevOps in current production environments during transition.
- Drive technical decisions by following platform principles and mentoring colleagues.
- Empower product teams to gain maximum value from self-service cloud products.
Expectations – the experience you need
- Cloud Infrastructure: In-depth knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and its APIs, specifically CDK, Lambda, RDS, ALB, and EC2.
- Systems Knowledge: In-depth experience with Docker, networking, and Linux servers.
- API Development: Ability to both create and consume REST APIs effectively.
- Pragmatic Mindset: A product-focused approach with the ability to simplify complex systems.
- Technical Leadership: Ability to drive and explain technical decisions to both engineers and management.
- Mentorship: A willingness to be a mentor and share knowledge with colleagues.
- Programming Proficiency: Working experience in TypeScript with Node.js.
- Database Expertise: Proven proficiency in working with PostgreSQL.
Additional skills – the edge you have
- Familiarity with Go, Python, Java and Spring Boot, Tomcat, .NET, or PHP is a plus.
- Experience with PostGIS is nice to have.
- Being able to read Vue.js code can help with some of the projects.
- An understanding of SOAP helps with migrating some of the legacy services.
