Role Summary
A visual designer creates impactful graphics that are coherent and consistent, but at the same time impressively unique, based on visual fundamentals and theory of design. A visual design specialist is the lead role for visual and creative design, it should lead multiple projects and take ownership of the coordination and execution (timeline, estimations, plans) of visual design projects, cowork, and control other groups of designers, but also have the experience of client-facing, and meet the expectations of the stakeholders to win and keep their trust.

Scope & Complexity:

  • Requires analysis and solving of moderately complex problems. May create new solutions, leveraging and, where needed, adapting existing methods and procedures

  • Requires understanding of the strategic direction set by senior management as it relates to team goals

  • Primary upward interaction is with direct supervisor. Interact with peers and/or management levels at a client and/or within Accenture

  • Comfortable with ambiguity in a fluid organization

Key Responsibilities:

  • Defines team workflow, roles and tools and coordinates it with management and development

  • Leads brainstorming sessions with the team and promotes team alignment

  • Creates templates/style guides for client brands, through processes that encourage free thinking and creativity without boundaries

  • Leads and managing production projects for new campaigns

  • Provides creative and art direction and accurate time estimations on design tasks

  • Lead client presentations

  • Communicates with client to discuss and finalize the design of grids and layouts

  • Makes recommendations for improvements in reports, tools, processes and assigned tasks pertinent to the design capability

  • Negotiate deadline changes when needed due to changes in client requirements

  • Proactively identifies and mitigates risks and assigns appropriate owners to prevent issues and enhance performance

  • Identifies ways for team members to better engage in knowledge-sharing and collaboration across teams

  • Shares best practices and lessons learned

  • Promotes need for innovation in the team and influences team members to provide suggestions to improve work processes and enhance results

  • Establish, develop, and guides relationship with team members and stakeholders

  • Raises questions and concerns keeping the team’s objectives in mind and works towards solutions that will enhance team performance

  • Proactively identify business opportunities within the vertical

  • Develop and promote skills in related areas to benefit team/organization

  • Juggle multiple projects while effectively managing timelines and expectations

  • Justify design decisions eloquently and explain visual concepts from the visual language and creative rationale, and pitch them to the team and stakeholders in an engaging and convincing manner

  • Provide effective feedback and direction to other team members

  • Manage and organize the internal and external assets and deliverables repositories

  • Proven design & layout skills, great eye for composition, color, typography and detail-oriented

  • Working independently, keeping project timelines on track and showing process

  • Leading and collaborating closely with teams of writers, designers, animators, to launch effective designed campaigns, mobile content and brand activation experiences

Job Specific Experience, Education and Skills

  • +6-8 years of relevant experience in visual or graphic design, and creative team management

  • High English level (C1 or above)

  • Good written and oral communication skills

  • Have a strong portfolio that demonstrates aesthetic & strategically creative solutions

  • Is open-minded and demonstrates flexibility and optimism in adapting to change

  • English and Spanish speaking required in order to work with clients from LATAM, North America and other locations around the world

  • Determine how best to approach visual design regarding accessibility variables such as color, contrast, size, etc

  • Knowledge with Agile work cycles, Waterfall and/or other methodologies

  • Advanced knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite tools (Required: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign)

  • Advanced knowledge in Figma

  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office tools: PowerPoint, Word and Excel

  • Experience designing for mobile platforms (iOS guidelines, Material Design and Responsive Web Design)

  • Experience in the creation of OLA products (Static, Dynamic and animated banners)

  • Experience in data visualization and infographics development

  • Knowledge in UI/UX solutions: UX (User Experience), UI (User Interface), Design Thinking, Interaction Design, UI Design Patterns & Techniques, UI Design-Web, Usability Design, Accessibility Design, UI Process Flow Design, Human-Centered, UI Design-Desktop, UI Usability Test & Tools, Competitive Analysis, Design Acumen
