Essential Functions/Job Duties:
- Share with the public information about Oklahoma Contemporary’s current programs, ticketing, membership, directions, facilities and other pertinent visitor information.
- Respond to questions and resolve visitor complaints and concerns, referring to upper management as needed.
- Use ticketing system to issue, examine and scan visitor tickets, membership cards and other identification for admission to galleries, programs and events.
- Help to ensure the smooth operation and safety of public areas by monitoring visitor traffic flow and assisting visitors as needed. Provide instructions, assistance and guidance to visitors in the event of an emergency.
- Enforce safety and Oklahoma Contemporary policies, including but not limited to exhibition spaces and protection of artworks.
- Promote and process onsite sales of Oklahoma Contemporary memberships and assist with potential member questions.
- Maintain orderly and well-stocked workspaces. Keep all public areas stocked with brochures and promotional materials.
- Assist with events and other duties as assigned by the Chief Development Officer and Membership and Visitor Experience Manager, and Visitor Experience Front of House Supervisor.
- Use active observation and discussion to engage visitors entering and exiting the facilities. Enhance overall experience by practicing our core values of radical hospitality, fun, inclusivity, learning and respect.
- Receive cross-training across all front-line roles including tickets and membership sales, ushering, wayfinding, general information, welcoming groups, acting as a gallery assistant.
- All other duties as assigned by the Membership and Visitor Experience Manager.

This role has no supervisory duties.
Work Environment
This job operates in a gallery setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time position with typical working hours of 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Hours and work shift may change in accordance with business needs. Must be available to work on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Minimum Job Qualifications, Experience, Education and Training
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Computer Skills: Ability to learn computer systems regularly used by the organization.
Preferred Education and Experience
Education: Bachelor of Arts
Experience: Previous experience working in a museum, educational, historical, or cultural setting.
Skills: Bilingual fluency in Spanish, Vietnamese, or ASL.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Must be able to accomplish any and all duties with little to no assistance.

Salary
$15 per hour.
