Job Summary
The VisionPlus Testing role at Synechron is integral to maintaining the quality and functionality of our credit card processing solutions. This position focuses on creating, executing, and documenting test cases to ensure alignment with functional specifications. It also involves compliance functional testing, regression testing, and simulating production incidents to enhance business-as-usual (BAU) client support. By ensuring robust testing practices, the VisionPlus Tester contributes to Synechron’s commitment to delivering reliable and efficient financial solutions, thereby supporting our business objectives and enhancing client satisfaction.
Software Requirements
Required:
- Proficiency in VisionPlus testing methodologies and tools.
- Experience with test management tools such as HP ALM or JIRA.
Preferred:
- Automation testing tools experience, such as Selenium or QTP, for authorization processes.
Overall Responsibilities
- Develop and document test cases based on functional specifications.
- Execute test cases and conduct peer reviews of test results.
- Support test lead in managing testing activities and ensuring compliance with testing standards.
- Conduct monthly regression testing for FAS Authorizations.
- Simulate production incidents in UAT for BAU clients to ensure smooth operations.
- Plan and prepare test data, supporting automation testing for authorizations.
- Initiate and participate in calls with clients and cross-functional teams to facilitate quick issue resolution and coordination.
Technical Skills (By Category)
Programming Languages:
- Preferred: Basic understanding of scripting languages like Python for automation support.
Databases/Data Management:
- Essential: Experience with SQL for data validation and test data preparation.
Development Tools and Methodologies:
- Essential: Familiarity with Agile testing methodologies and practices.
- Preferred: Experience with DevOps environments.
Experience Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in VisionPlus testing or related testing roles.
- Demonstrated experience in compliance and regression testing in the financial sector.
- Experience with credit card processing solutions is highly desirable.
Day-to-Day Activities
- Engage in the development and execution of test cases, ensuring thorough documentation and peer review.
- Participate in regular meetings for test planning and coordination with development and client teams.
- Deliver detailed reports on test results, highlighting areas for improvement and ensuring defect resolution.
- Collaborate with automation teams to support authorization testing processes.
- Exercise decision-making authority in test case prioritization and defect management under the guidance of the test lead.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as ISTQB or CSTE are preferred.
- Continuous professional development in testing methodologies and tools is encouraged.
