VisionPLUS Developer (CMS Module and CICS)

The VisionPLUS Developer position at Synechron is a specialized role focused on the development and enhancement of the VisionPLUS product within the credit card processing domain. This role is integral to driving technological advancements and ensuring high-quality software solutions that align with business objectives.

Software Requirements

• Required:
  • VisionPLUS product
  • CICS
  • z/OS Software Change Management tools (Endevor and Changeman)
  • VMx / WNGSFM
• Preferred:
  • Experience with additional DevOps tools and Agile methodologies

Overall Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of medium complexity problems within VisionPLUS
• Maintain and enhance the CMS module and ensure seamless credit card processing operations
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the VisionPLUS online architecture
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and implement new technologies
• Contribute to software change management processes using z/OS tools

Technical Skills (By Category)

• Programming Languages:
  • Required: Strong knowledge of programming within the VisionPLUS and CICS environments
• Databases/Data Management:
  • Preferred: Familiarity with database systems used in credit card processing
• Development Tools and Methodologies:
  • Required: Endevor, Changeman, Agile, DevOps
• Security Protocols:
  • Preferred: Understanding of security protocols in credit card processing

Experience Requirements

• 5-10 years of core development experience in VisionPLUS within the credit card processing domain
• Proven experience with VMx / WNGSFM and CMS module
• Industry experience in financial services or technology sectors preferred
• Alternative experience pathways: Demonstrated success in similar roles or technologies

Day-to-Day Activities

• Engage in regular team meetings to discuss project progress and innovation
• Analyze and translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Develop, test, and deploy enhancements to the VisionPLUS product
• Troubleshoot technical issues and collaborate with stakeholders for resolution

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
