VisionPlus Developer with CICS

Job Summary

At Synechron, we are seeking a skilled VisionPlus Developer with expertise in CICS to join our innovative technology team. This role is focused on developing, integrating, and maintaining VisionPlus applications using COBOL and CICS, which are critical to our financial services solutions. By leveraging your technical acumen, you will contribute significantly to the optimization of our digital solutions, ensuring seamless data flow and transaction processing, and ultimately aiding in the achievement of our business objectives.

Software Requirements

• Required Proficiency:

  • VisionPlus application development using COBOL and CICS
  • System integration techniques for seamless data flow between VisionPlus and other enterprise applications
  • CICS environments and transaction processing
  • Testing and quality assurance practices
  • Technical documentation and coding standards

• Preferred Proficiency:

  • Experience with other financial services software
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and digital transformation technologies

Overall Responsibilities

• Application Development:

  • Design, code, test, and debug VisionPlus applications using COBOL and CICS.
  • Develop and enhance existing applications to align with evolving business requirements.

• System Integration:

  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate VisionPlus with other systems, ensuring data consistency and reliability.

• CICS Management:

  • Maintain and optimize CICS environments to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Implement and monitor transaction processing for reliability and efficiency.

• Requirement Analysis:

  • Work with business analysts to translate functional requirements into technical specifications.

• Testing and Quality Assurance:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, conduct unit testing, and support system and user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Documentation:

  • Maintain detailed technical documentation and coding standards for future reference.

• Support and Maintenance:

  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for VisionPlus applications.
  • Participate in regular system updates and enhancements for improved performance.

• Collaboration:

  • Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery and foster a collaborative environment.

Experience Requirements

• Years of Experience:

  • 8-15 years in VisionPlus application development using COBOL and CICS

Qualifications

• Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

• Certifications:
