Job Summary

Synechron is seeking a strategic and experienced Vision & Testing Lead responsible for steering the testing and validation of innovative technology projects involving blockchain, IoT, AI, and other emerging tools. This role involves leading cross-functional teams, developing comprehensive testing frameworks, and ensuring solutions meet quality, security, and compliance standards. As a key figure in driving technological excellence, you will contribute to delivering high-impact projects aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices.

Software Requirements

Required Skills:

• Strong understanding of emerging technologies such as blockchain, IoT, AI, and data-driven solutions

• Proven experience designing and executing testing strategies for complex systems and solutions

• Deep knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies (unit testing, integration testing, system testing)

• Expertise in automation testing tools and frameworks relevant to emerging tech (e.g., TestComplete, Appium, Selenium, or custom test scripts)

• Knowledge of project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Agile frameworks

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure environments supporting innovative solutions

Preferred Skills:

• Certifications in software testing, automation, or specific emerging technologies (e.g., AI, Blockchain)

• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for automated testing

• Knowledge of security testing, vulnerability scanning, and compliance protocols in innovative environments

• Strong scripting experience in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for test automation

Overall Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of testing strategies for emerging technology projects, ensuring quality, security, and compliance standards

• Collaborate with product managers, development teams, and stakeholders to understand project scope and translate requirements into effective validation plans

• Develop automated testing frameworks and scripts for AI, blockchain, IoT, and other advanced solutions

• Guide and mentor testing teams in adopting best practices, automation tools, and advanced testing techniques

• Conduct comprehensive test planning, execution, and reporting for complex projects, including manual and automation testing

• Perform root cause analysis on failures, security vulnerabilities, and data anomalies, providing actionable recommendations

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing efficiency, coverage, and security posture

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies, testing tools, and industry trends to inform testing strategies and innovations

• Ensure traceability and proper documentation of test cases, scripts, and defect reports

Technical Skills (By Category)

Technologies & Frameworks:

• Required: Testing automation tools and frameworks applicable to emerging tech projects (e.g., Selenium, TestComplete, Appium)

• Preferred: Custom test scripts using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or equivalent scripting languages

Emerging Technologies & Platforms:

• Required: Understanding of blockchain, IoT, AI, and data solutions supporting enterprise applications

• Preferred: Hands-on experience testing blockchain smart contracts, IoT device integrations, or AI/machine learning models

Cloud & Infrastructure:

• Required: Cloud deployment and testing support in AWS, Azure, or GCP environments

• Preferred: Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) in testing workflows

Security & Compliance:

• Required: Awareness of security testing practices, threat modeling, and vulnerability assessment in emerging tech environments

• Preferred: Familiarity with compliance standards specific to blockchain, IoT, or AI solutions (e.g., GDPR, ISO approvals)

Tools & Continuous Integration:

• Required: Integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI)

• Preferred: Use of monitoring, logging, and analytics tools to validate system performance and security

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 10+ years leading testing and quality assurance in complex, innovative, and multi-technology projects

• Proven track record managing testing frameworks for blockchain, IoT, AI, or other emerging solutions

• Extensive experience in automation scripting, security validation, and process optimization

• Demonstrated leadership in mentoring testing teams and collaborating across technical domains

• Industry experience in finance, healthcare, or other sectors utilizing advanced technologies is preferred but not mandatory

Day-to-Day Activities

• Define testing scope, develop test cases, and automate validation processes for projects involving emerging tech

• Lead manual and automation testing efforts, ensuring coverage of functionality, security, and compliance standards

• Conduct vulnerability scans, penetration testing, and security validation activities

• Collaborate daily with development, data science, product, and security teams to align testing efforts with project milestones

• Review code, test scripts, and documentation to ensure adherence to best practices

• Perform root cause analysis of failures, security issues, or data anomalies and lead resolution efforts

• Track and report testing progress, defect metrics, and compliance status to senior management

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing quality, speed, and automation coverage

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related fields

• Certifications such as ISTQB Advanced, AI-specific testing certifications, or blockchain security certifications are highly desirable

• Proven experience leading testing initiatives for large-scale, advanced technological projects
