About Us

Freshly backed by some of the top VCs in Silicon Valley, T-robotics is redefining robotics by combining advanced AI for intuitive programming with pre-trained skill models that are experts at industrial tasks. With offices in San Francisco (USA) and Trondheim (Norway), we provide software that gives our users unprecedented ease-of-use and capabilities for their robots, allowing them to think, adapt, and perform complex tasks like any skilled worker.

About the job

We're looking for a creative and hands-on Vision Systems Engineer to give our robots the power of sight. This role is critical to our mission of building adaptable, intelligent robots. You'll be contributing to the entire vision pipeline, from selecting the right cameras to developing the software that allows the robot to perceive and understand its environment. You'll tackle challenging real-world problems, such as identifying shiny or textureless parts in a bin, and your work will directly enable our robots to perform complex tasks in dynamic industrial settings.

Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain the vision software pipeline, from sensor data acquisition to application-level perception.

  • Develop and maintain robust camera drivers, data gathering systems, and calibration procedures.

  • Implement and optimize algorithms for object localization, 6D pose estimation, and scene understanding.

  • Work with challenging industrial scenarios, including objects with reflective or textureless surfaces.

  • Collaborate closely with our AI and robotics software teams to ensure seamless integration of vision capabilities into the robot's decision-making process.

  • Develop robust testing and validation frameworks to benchmark and guarantee the performance of the vision system.

Requirements
  • Master’s degree or higher in Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in computer vision, with a strong focus on 3D vision systems.

  • Strong programming proficiency in C++ and Python.

  • Experience processing 3D data (point clouds, meshes) and vision pipeline development.

  • Comfortable developing in a Linux environment.

  • A systematic, hands-on approach to problem-solving, testing, and hardware integration.

  • Fluency in English and strong communication skills.

What will differentiate you
  • Experience with 3D vision for robot applications.

  • Practical experience with industrial 3D cameras (e.g., Intel RealSense, Orbbec, Zivid).

  • Knowledge of GPU programming (CUDA) for accelerating vision algorithms.

  • Experience applying machine learning or deep learning to computer vision tasks.

  • Familiarity with camera and sensor calibration techniques.

  • An interest in the full vision and robotics stack, from low-level hardware to high-level AI.

What we offer
  • A unique opportunity to work at the forefront of robotics and AI.

  • A key role in a growing startup where your contributions will have a tangible impact.

  • Competitive salary, employee equity, and bonuses.

What We Do

T-ROBOTICS is a pioneering AI-driven robotics software company, headquartered in Silicon Valley, USA, and Trondheim, Norway. The company is redefining automation with built-in robotic intelligence, empowering industries to achieve unprecedented flexibility, adaptability, and autonomy in robotic operations.

Built on over a decade of ground-breaking research and development, T-ROBOTICS fundamentally reimagines how robots are programmed. Traditional “point-to-point” programming — the industrial standard since the 1960s — is slow, rigid, and fragile. T-ROBOTICS replaces it with ActGPT, an AI-powered platform with pre-trained skills for industrial robots, delivering effortless automation adoption and execution with zero learning curve.

By combining generative AI, computer vision, and adaptive control, ActGPT enables robots to understand context, plan intelligently, and execute complex industrial tasks autonomously — from machining and assembly to inspection and material handling. This shift empowers manufacturers to scale automation faster, reduce downtime, and achieve continuous improvement without reliance on expert programmers.
