Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, friendly and organized exercise specialist who is passionate about treating obesity as a disease to improve the myriad chronic health conditions associated with weight- including hypertension, type 2 diabetes, sleep apnea and more- to join our team. In this role, you will see patients via telehealth and work with a multidisciplinary team including medical providers, and nutrition specialists to provide best-in-class care and outcomes for your patients - communicating with them both synchronously and asynchronously.
Exercise Specialist Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate client fitness level and skill set to plan reachable goals
- Educate and demonstrate to clients exercise and injury prevention
- Create a training plan tailored to client needs
- Chart and track client progress
- Motivate and encourage client through positive words via app with high level of engagement
- Adjust client personalized plans as goals are reached
- Educate clients on evidence based exercise programming.
- Adaptable to a wide range of clients of all ages based on their fitness capabilities
- Willingness to work cooperatively with the Dietetics department on patient fitness plans
Exercise Specialist Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in exercise science, exercise physiology, or kinesiology
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience in one-on-one coaching, preferably in a clinical or healthcare setting.
- Clinical experience in a related field is highly desirable.
- ACSM certification is mandatory, or required within 6 months of hire.
- Fluency in both Arabic and English languages
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with Arabic-speaking patients.
- Knowledge of the latest trends and developments in exercise physiology and fitness training.
- Ability to work independently and manage remote coaching sessions effectively.
- Empathy, patience, and a passion for helping others achieve their health and wellness goals.
- Must reside in the US or legally allowed to work in the United States (NPI required)
- Bilingual Arabic fluency is a must
