As the Video Solutions Lead, you will develop revenue driving opportunities and partnerships focused on major growth areas for Roblox: video. You have the sales and leadership skills to deliver revenue growth, achieve targets set (both individually and for the larger sales org) and manage outside partnerships. You will find success by being a motivated, collaborative, teammate who is both strategic and creative. This is a fast-paced, agency and client-facing role that requires industry expertise and proven experience leading, developing and driving innovative partnerships. You will have to wear multiple hats throughout the day and tap into your creative start-up side in building the revenue stream, but also tap into experience from larger ad businesses in how you negotiate and manage partnerships.
This full time position is based in New York and will report to Head of Immersive Media Solutions.
You will:
- Stand up Roblox’s video sales operation through the following functions:
- 1) Operate as internal video sales expert and product specialist, supporting all vertical team members in their sales efforts, supporting media planning strategies and client calls.
- 2) Manage co-sales with strategic & programmatic partners
- 3) Tap into your own relationships with Video investment leads and agency leadership to open up doors for our team
- Collaborate closely with vertical teams to foster leads that result in revenue and results
- Be the subject matter expert on programmatic video sales trends and business requirements
- Function as the central lead sourcing ongoing market feedback about video from key agency clients to inform product development and priorities
- Support leadership go-to-market strategy, narrative and tactics for scaling video and programmatic offerings
- Responsible for helping the team hit its group video sales goal, while also running towards your own partner sales goal
- Manage existing and develop new relationships with customers and media agencies in person and virtually
- Be an expert on Roblox’s audience, video inventory, brand safety and measurement offerings in order to ensure confidence with clients
- Support agency onboarding and new supplier vendor efforts at media agencies
- Support scaled education to media agencies
You have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of Sales expertise with at least 5 years selling video, programmatic video and ideally some experience selling rewarded video
- Experience with the major media holding companies, with expertise and deep relationships at two.
- Knowledge of the advertising ecosystems including social media, mobile apps, digital and brand marketing
- Ability to structure, negotiate, and maintain significant and sophisticated strategic partnerships while meeting and exceeding sales goals
- Proven sales success as a creative deal maker
- Experience in gaming video sales a plus
For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.
Annual Salary Range
$229,370—$263,000 USD
Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
