Summary Generated by Built In
We’re Tovala, a food-tech company reinventing home cooking to save consumers time. Through an innovative combination of hardware, software, and fresh food delivery, we make it incredibly simple for anyone to prepare and enjoy delicious, home-cooked meals without sacrificing time to do whatever matters to them. Through our superior technology, product experience and food quality, we have separated Tovala from the busy pack of other meal delivery businesses. In the process, we’ve amassed a loyal, rapidly growing following and our retention, product engagement and customer NPS are all best-in-class. We’ve raised over $100mm from great investors like Left Lane Capital, Origin Ventures, Y Combinator and Comcast Ventures and have invested strongly in building a unique culture that fosters growth, personal development and camaraderie.

At Tovala, we’re looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Video Production Coordinator to help bring our brand to life through our video storytelling efforts. This role is focused on execution, coordination, and keeping projects moving, not hands-on video art direction, editing or shooting.

You’ll partner closely with our creative, marketing, and external production partners to ensure video projects are delivered on time, on brief, and on budget.

What You'll Do:

  • Own end-to-end coordination of video and content production projects from kickoff through delivery

  • Build and manage project timelines, track milestones, and drive projects forward across all stages (pre-production, shoot, post)

  • Coordinate shoots end-to-end, including:

  • scheduling talent, crew, food stylists (if applicable), and locations

  • managing contracts, insurance, licensing, and usage rights

  • overseeing call sheets, shoot-day logistics, and production operations

  • Organize and manage all production assets, including props, products, meals, and equipment

  • Facilitate key production workflows including scripting, revisions, reviews, and final delivery

  • Manage budgets against forecasts and process invoices from talent, crew, and vendors

  • Serve as the central point of contact across internal teams (creative, growth, brand) and external partners, ensuring clear communication and alignment

  • Maintain accurate project documentation and provide regular status updates to stakeholders

  • Identify risks or blockers early and proactively problem-solve to keep projects on track

  • Continuously improve production workflows and processes

What You Bring:

  • 1–4 years of experience in a coordination, project management, or production role

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Experience managing timelines and juggling multiple projects simultaneously

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

  • Comfort working with external vendors, freelancers, and agencies

  • Familiarity with production workflows (pre-production, shoot, post)

  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Monday, etc.) and/or digital asset management systems

  • Familiarity with digital marketing channels (paid social, web, email, etc.)

Important to Note!

  • This is a part-time contract role (20–24 hours per week)
  • This role is in Salt Lake City area
  • Local travel is required as well as time on set for productions
  • Must have own reliable transportation
