Key Responsibilities
- Post-Production Excellence: Edit raw footage into high-quality long-form episodes, student stories, and expert interviews with seamless pacing, audio balancing, and color grading.
- Long-form content: Repurpose HQ assets and a-roll into multiple episodic assets (podcasts, interviews, animations, etc).
- Motion Graphics & Animation: Design and integrate motion graphics, kinetic text, lower-thirds, branded templates, and transitions to elevate visual storytelling.
- Brand Consistency: Apply Athena’s brand identity across all video outputs with polished intros/outros, subtitles, and visual treatments CTA & Engagement Optimization:Incorporate dynamic call-to-actions, banners, and end screens to drive conversions and subscriptions.
- Content Calendar Execution: Deliver video assets on schedule in line with marketing campaigns, SEO-driven content strategy, and platform-specific needs.
- File & Asset Management: Maintain an organized workflow for editing projects, asset libraries, and templates to enable scale.
- Channel Management: Create and manage a consistent workflow with uploading, SEO-based tagging and back end optimization for short and long form videos
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience: 1–4 years of professional video editing experience, preferably in social-first or digital media environments. Strong portfolio showcasing both storytelling and high-performing assets.
Technical Proficiency
- Advanced editing skills in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Strong motion graphics/animation skills in Adobe After Effects or equivalent.
- Experience with audio clean-up and sound mixing for interviews/podcasts.
- Creative Edge: Strong narrative instincts, visual aesthetics, and the ability to turn raw conversations into compelling stories.
- Platform Expertise: Understanding of what performs best on YouTube, Instagram Reels, LinkedIn, and other channels.
- Creative vision: A strong sense of narrative, pacing, and visual storytelling with a keen eye for detail.
- Efficient & Detail-Oriented: Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and maintain consistency across outputs.
- Collaborative: Works seamlessly with producers, hosts, marketing, and design teams to ensure assets support campaign goals.
