The London-based Video and Social Editor will serve as the strategic and creative engine for Hypebae's social media presence. This role is responsible for driving audience growth and engagement across all video and social platforms. This role is highly data-driven, balancing daily content execution and community management with long-term strategic planning and execution of paid partnerships. This is an experienced editor with a deep understanding of fashion, sports, and culture, capable of developing innovative tactics and campaigns that drive measurable business goals while ensuring Hypebae’s brand integrity and authentic voice.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute daily social media strategies and campaigns across all platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and YouTube, ensuring content is on-brand, punctual, and effective.
  • Create and implement innovative tactics, content plans, and partnerships designed to achieve key business goals. 
  • Collaborate with internal creative/sales teams and external partners to brief, manage, and distribute original video and social content.
  • Oversee and action creative-social-sales posts, ensuring a seamless and authentic integration between editorial and commercial content.
  • Liaise with international Hypebae teams to align on priorities, share best practices, and ensure a cohesive brand voice across all platforms.
  • Identify opportunities to launch, grow, and manage Hypebae’s presence on new and existing social channels, setting and tracking clear performance milestones.
  • Engage with the Hypebae community by managing consumer responses, monitoring audience sentiment, and fostering a positive and interactive environment.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with platform partners (TikTok, Meta, X, etc.) to unlock new opportunities, gain early access to features, and drive innovation.
  • Analyse and report on social media performance and campaign results, using data-driven insights to refine and optimise future strategies.
  • Establish and build out the Hypebae Creator Network.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of social media management, publishing, editorial content creation and distribution required (brand or agency).
  • Passion, energy, and enthusiasm for social media. Detailed knowledge and expertise around all social platforms with significant contacts at all major platforms.
  • Extremely passionate and knowledgeable about fashion, sports, culture and the different categories that Hypebae covers.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and planning skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience in working with teams across global regions and time zones.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing successful social marketing strategies that are native to individual channels and demonstrate tangible ROI.
  • Expert understanding of what brands are doing on social media and be able to articulate how to do so authentically.
  • The candidate is at the cutting edge of the cultural zeitgeist; understanding internet, social and youth culture and how to credibly and sensitively work within it whilst maintaining brand integrity.
  • Ability to successfully organise, prioritise and manage multiple projects under strict deadlines.
  • A passion for working in a fast-paced environment with high level of teamwork.
  • Flexibility to work nights and weekends when required.
  • Ability to collect, analyze and use social data to affect change.
