Join the team behind one of the largest U.S. P2P networks, serving millions of Chase customers daily. This role supports Chase’s delivery of Zelle with network strategy, bringing an organized, analytical, detail-oriented approach and a passion for process optimization to a group focused on innovation in the payments space.

As a Vice President on the Zelle General Management team in Banking Payments, you will lead end-to-end development and oversight of product controls, control testing readiness, audits, and risk governance—building processes and mechanisms that keep Zelle safe, resilient, and scalable as features and volumes evolve. You’ll help shape one of Chase’s most visible payment experiences and define how we scale innovation responsibly—while enabling execution speed, influencing executive outcomes, and strengthening customer trust on modern, evolving payment rails.

Job responsibilities

  • Support new rules and innovation by owning and evolving the Zelle controls framework across product changes and payment rails, including monitoring, enhancing, and creating controls for new features

  • Lead product audit support end-to-end: coordinate readiness, serve as primary contact for requests, and ensure artifacts are complete, accurate, and defensible

  • Partner with control testing and compliance testing teams to validate controls are well-designed and operating effectively

  • Define and maintain testing approaches for key controls; identify trends, emerging risks, and governance improvements

  • Draft and maintain procedures for risk and controls management, translating policy into clear, executable playbooks

  • Support incident/issue response for technology, vendor, or operational events impacting customers; drive rigorous controls, communications, and remediation

  • Support regulatory and executive escalations with crisp documentation, status, and evidence-backed narratives

  • Build operating practices (governance, backlog/issue discipline, documentation) to improve transparency, predictability, and risk management across the lifecycle of customer payments

  • Dive into understanding systems and architecture, bringing a practical experimental mindset

  • Incorporate LLMs/AI into day-to-day product workflows to improve decision quality, effectiveness and efficiency

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Must be a self-starter who can manage multiple priorities and calmly influence a complex set of stakeholders, communicating clearly at all levels with a strong risk-and-controls mindset.

  • 5+ years in product management, controls, audit, or business operations

  • Proven ability to prioritize and drive work to closure in a high-visibility environment

  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence peers and leadership

  • Excellent written/verbal communication; able to produce executive-ready updates and facilitate decisions

  • Ability to lead through ambiguity, escalate blockers proactively, and improve processes

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Ideal for someone who blends strategic product thinking with hands-on execution, owns “run” responsibilities alongside change delivery, and operates with disciplined governance in complex platforms.

  • Experience supporting audits/control testing in high-volume payments, banking, or other regulated environments

  • Familiarity with modern payment platforms and real-time payment concepts (multiple rails, resiliency, operational readiness)

  • Comfort partnering closely with technology teams on architecture, releases, and production risk

  • People management experience (hiring, coaching, performance management, team development) is a plus
