We are evaluating an opportunity to build a new, modern wealth management proposition. As the VP of Wealth Management Product, you will play a foundational role in shaping, launching, and scaling this product. You’ll wear multiple hats: strategist, builder, recruit and brand ambassador.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the launch of OakNorth’s wealth management service
- Define the proposition: pricing, service model, technology stack, and product suite.
- Build and manage a high-performance team of advisers, product specialists, and client service staff.
- Develop go-to-market strategy: client acquisition, partnerships (e.g., accountants, lawyers), digital marketing, and brand positioning.
- Work with internal teams (legal, compliance, tech, product) to ensure FCA compliance and operational readiness.
- Track KPIs: AUM growth, client satisfaction, revenue per user, and retention metrics.
- Serve as the internal champion for the business line, reporting progress to senior leadership and investors.
What We're Looking For
- 8–15+ years of experience in private banking/wealth management product
- Proven track record of building product, pricing and proposition for wealth platforms
- Strong understanding of UK financial services regulation (FCA, MiFID II, Consumer Duty)
- Experience across product, pricing, customer P&L, and distribution
- Entrepreneurial spirit: you’re resourceful, proactive, and thrive in ambiguity

Our story
OakNorth Bank was built on the foundations of frustrations with old-school banking. In 2005, when our founders tried to get capital for their data analytics company, the computer said ‘no’. Unfortunately, all major banks in the UK were using the same computer – and it was broken.
Why was it so difficult for a profitable business with impressive cashflow, retained clients, and clear commercial success to get a loan?
