Blackstone Europe Fund Management S.à r.l. (BEFM) is a private limited liability company (société à responsibilité limitée) notably subject to the Law of 10 August 1915 on commercial companies, as amended from time to time and to the AIFM Law. BEFM is authorized by the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF) as (i) a management company under Article 101(2) (Chapter 15) of the Law of 17 December 2010 on undertakings for collective investment, as amended (the UCI Law) and (ii) an alternative investment fund manager in accordance with the Law of 12 July 2013 on alternative investment fund managers, as amended (the AIFM Law).
BEFM manages UCITS and alternative investment funds (AIFs) in a variety of asset classes including private equity, real estate, credit and hedge fund solutions. BEFM is also authorized to manage separately managed accounts (SMAs) with a combination of these asset classes.
Job Description
We are currently looking to hire a Vice President for the BEFM Valuation team (BEFM Valuation). This role offers a unique opportunity to combine valuation expertise, team leadership and business transformation within one of the world's leading alternative asset managers.
As a senior member of the Luxembourg valuation leadership team, the successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the future operating model of the valuation function. This includes driving strategic initiatives across process optimisation, technology enablement, automation, AI adoption, governance enhancement and organisational scalability while partnering closely with teams across EMEA, the US and APAC.
The role is ideally suited to candidates who enjoy operating at the intersection of technical excellence, people leadership, innovation and change, while working in a highly regulated environment.
Responsibilities
The role will be a key part of the Luxembourg Finance team and will directly report to the head of the BEFM Valuation team, working alongside another Vice-President. As a senior member of a small, hands-on team, the Vice President will be expected to play an active role in managing day-to-day team priorities, developing talent and ensuring high-quality execution across valuation workstreams, maintaining compliance with laws and regulations.
- Valuation Oversight and Technical Leadership
- Lead and oversee the review of investment valuations across multiple fund strategies.
- Review valuation assumptions, investment committee materials and third-party valuation reports.
- Provide technical leadership on valuation methodologies, market developments and industry best practices.
- Support due diligence reviews and governance activities relating to valuation processes across the broader Blackstone platform.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders on complex valuation matters.
- Team Leadership, Stakeholder Management and Global Collaboration
- Lead, develop and mentor a high-performing team, creating an environment focused on excellence, innovation and continuous learning.
- Drive workforce planning, prioritization and delivery across internal teams and offshore resources.
- Build strong partnerships with Finance, Valuation, Risk Management, Transformation and Legal & Compliance teams globally.
- Promote collaboration across EMEA, US and APAC teams, enabling consistency, knowledge sharing and operational excellence.
- Serve as a key point of contact for valuation-related initiatives across the organization.

- Transformation, Governance and Strategic Projects
- Drive the strategic evolution of the valuation function, focusing on scalability, operating model enhancement and process optimisation.
- Participate to transformation initiatives involving technology, automation, data analytics and AI-enabled solutions.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen governance frameworks, controls, reporting and decision-making capabilities.
- Prepare and review reporting and management information for senior management.
- Support internal and external audits, regulatory reviews and governance-related activities.
- Lead cross-functional projects including new fund launches, product onboarding and platform-wide improvement initiatives.
- Monitor regulatory and market developments and translate them into actionable business and operational changes.
- Champion innovation and continuous improvement, helping shape the future operating model of the valuation function.
Qualifications & Skills
Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who work well in a team, are highly motivated, with a sound judgment and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors.
- Master’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or similar discipline (CFA or CAIA is a plus)
- 10+ years of experience in valuation, financial services advisory, consulting, alternative investments or related fields, including experience within a Big 4, consulting or equivalent professional services environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in valuation methodologies and practices, combined with strong leadership skills to effectively support the management and organization of the team in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated experience leading complex business transformation, process improvement or operating model initiatives.
- Exceptional organizational and documentation abilities, with a proven capacity to structure workflows, maintain accurate records, and ensure high-quality deliverables across all valuation projects
- Knowledge of the local regulatory requirements in relation to AIFM and Luxembourg Funds
- Strong interest in leveraging technology, data, automation and AI to improve business processes, strengthen controls and enhance decision-making.
- Proven ability to lead change, influence stakeholders and drive adoption of new processes, tools and ways of working.
- Analytical skills, intellectual curiosity and attention to detail
- Superior communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels
- Highly motivated individual with the ability to work on own initiative and manage competing priorities to tight reporting deadlines
