The Role

About this role

A member of the LatAm and Canada Marketing team, the product marketing role sits at the intersection of our Product, Investments, and Marketing teams to build and execute the product marketing strategy for the Latin America Client Business.  

You will be responsible for understanding our product and service set, business priorities and our clients’ needs, bringing the three together to drive commercial success.   This includes leading, and working with product, integrated marketing, sales, and digital managers to drive, the strategy, roadmap, development, and activation BlackRock’s product marketing strategy and execution owning its overall success.   

The ideal candidate will have a solid track record of strategic thinking, implementing innovative marketing initiatives, proven success in the development and execution of targeted business objectives, financial/commercial retail knowledge and expertise, content writing experience and management of product marketing experiences including guiding projects through all stages of a multi-channeled marketing campaigns from initial development to execution to metrics/ROI analysis. 

This is a highly collaborative, communicative role that must also manage internal and external stakeholders to help develop content and initiatives to drive business priorities, as well as being comfortable delivering strategy, innovative ideas/solutions, and messaging to both the MKTG team and executive audiences.  Success in this role requires an understanding of BlackRock’s products, markets, and clients as well as AM trends, and the knowledge and ability to connect them.  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Strategic Product Commercial/Marketing: ​ Lead and execute the overall product distribution and strategy for the BlackRock LatAm and Canada Market, including Blackrock, iShares, GIP, HPS and Aladdin product strategy and content development, project management and new campaign outreach initiatives to help drive and achieve regional and local business priorities.  Collaborate with both global, regional and local teams to build impactful, short and long terms product distribution plans for priority products/solutions launches. Ensure our partners initiatives are aligned with business priorities, messaging, and the overall marketing and business goals. 

  • Strategic Thinking:  Find and develop unique opportunities to create value by enabling product marketing and digital commercial initiatives as well as identification of areas for improvement in business processes and technology tools. 

  • Project Management: Lead strong marketing execution and project management including expense reporting, risk management, status reporting, and execution plans. This includes accounting for complete project lifecycle from inception to closure, collaborating with participants to determine project timeline, map projects for budget tracking, and ensuring set deadlines. 

  • Content and media planning: ​ Lead external-facing product/solution marketing content.  Deeply understand digital products/platforms and translate that knowledge into impactful and scalable communications and content for client-facing experiences. 

  • Measurement and analytics: ​ Help define and track KPIs for all product marketing experiences, trainings and digital events, and drive accountability across the market. Maintain close partnership with global, regional and local teams to ensure integration and commercial growth.  

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Fluency in English with a preference for Spanish and/or Portuguese is required.  

  • 5-10 years in Asset Management marketing role(s) a must

  • Industry knowledge of Asset Management/Financial Services is required

  • Leadership experience managing a team 

  • Experience owning the development of digital experiences and propositions, including revenue driven digital distribution 

  • Pro-active, self-starter with ability to organize, prioritize and execute multiple projects across multiple stakeholders simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment 

  • Strategic visionary with demonstrated experience in creating digital marketing and distribution strategies and bringing them to execution 

  • Proven track record in performing well in a fast-paced environment and organizational skills to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines effectively 

  • Experience working and scaling initiatives across a family of brands, variety of audiences  

  • Experience working with global sales, product, marketing and legal teams 

  • Strong skills in communication, writing, and ability to work well cross-functionally 

  • Outstanding teammate with proven ability to lead through influence 

  • Industry knowledge of Financial Services/Asset Management vertical preferred 

  • Experience working in B2C, B2B and B2B2C digital marketing models is a plus 

  • Experience working in product marketing is a plus 

  • Results driven business leader with proven track record of success and achievement driving brand and business goals and managing external relationships
