Role Overview:

Serve as a “bridge” between AWMS Tokyo Sales and Product Management, engaging in a wide range of responsibilities from Sales Support, Product Development, Client Onboarding and Client Servicing. While the role is primarily focused on the three areas outlined below, active involvement in other initiatives is also expected.

Responsibilities:

Product Development and Sales Support

  • Assist with new product development needs for local incorporation in Japan either by Ares or with Ares distribution partners. Also provide support when promoting new products to distributors/asset managers

Client Services

  • Onboarding of new clients and new funds for distribution in Japan, ranging from assisting with DDQ forms, liaising and organisation between local Asset Managers and Distributor Brokerage partners and Ares internal functions such as legal, compliance, IR and marketing to ensure smooth execution of distribution agreements and other contractual arrangements.
  • Product Specialist client servicing:  Provide clients with in-depth information on the products introduced by Sales, thereby promoting our product offerings more effectively than ever.  Act as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, liaising with overseas product teams, the IR team, and the Tokyo product team. Deliver high-value responses to inquiries addressed to WMS, effectively serving as a key contact point for distributors after they have adopted our products.
  • Sales Material Development: Take a leading role in preparing sales materials related to products offered by WMS Tokyo, as well as feeder fund presentation at the time of product adoption. Bridge client needs with our IR department to ensure the delivery of highly value-added materials.

Additional Responsibilities:                     

  • Participate in promotional activities and events related to product adoption, working closely with the Sales team on planning and execution.
  • Actively engage in due diligence processes conducted by distributors and feeder fund managers at the time of adoption.
  • Support efficient business development by collaborating with Sales to gather industry intelligence and information on major distributors.
