Impact You’ll Make:

Stout’s Valuation Advisory professionals help clients gain confidence by bringing clarity to the most complex valuation matters.  As one of the largest independent valuation practices in the country, we provide specialized experience across a broad spectrum of industries, asset classes and geographies.

Vice Presidents/Sr. Vice Presidents will work on a variety of assignments, including the valuation of private debt and equity portfolios, complex securities and various strategic initiatives supporting Stout’s expansion objectives. This professional will manage a team of professionals responsible for production of valuation analysis and servicing client relationships.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work with engagement leaders to strategize engagement approaches, develop workplans, monitor progress, and report on critical path items

  • Perform company, industry, and case-specific research, including technical, economic, accounting, and market research, to support analyses and conclusions

  • Prepare and review written reports, presentations, and graphical exhibits to communicate findings effectively

  • Analyze financial statements, accounting records, tax returns, and other financial documents to identify critical insights across multiple engagements

What You Bring:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in portfolio valuation, complex securities valuation, portfolio management or research with a focus on private equity, private credit or asset-based finance asset classes

  • 4-year degree necessary with an emphasis in finance, accounting, financial engineering, math or other quantitative degrees.

  • Solid understanding of key financial models and valuation methodologies

  • Professional designation preferred – CFA, ASA, CPA, CEIV is a plus.

  • Proficient in valuation approach related to private debt, equity, asset-based finance and other complex financial instruments

  • Intermediate/advanced understanding of economics, financial theory and/or principles of accounting

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient computer skills (primarily Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Knowledge of Python and/or Tableau / Power Bi is a plus

  • Relationship-focused (with clients, peers, management, etc.)

  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude

It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
