Job description
Everli is looking for an experienced VP of Logistics & Operations to lead our operational strategy and elevate the performance of our marketplace across Italy. You will own the full delivery and fulfillment lifecycle — ensuring same-day availability, reducing unfulfilled orders, improving on-time delivery, and driving efficiency across 60+ cities.
We’re looking for a strategic yet hands-on leader with deep logistics experience, ideally within gig-economy or on-demand delivery environments. You’ll work closely with our CEO on business direction and partner with our CTO to align operational needs with tech solutions. If you thrive in scaling operations, building high-performing teams, and turning insights into action, this role is for you.
Responsibilities
Define and execute an operational strategy that improves processes, workflows, and team performance
Set, monitor, and optimize key KPIs (same-day availability, order completion, on-time delivery, city performance)
Partner with CEO and CTO to align logistics operations with technology platforms and routing systems
Build, mentor, and structure a high-impact operations team with clear incentives and growth paths
Optimize fulfillment, shopper workforce management, and last-mile delivery across 60+ cities
Solve problems directly on the ground when needed and drive a culture of proactive problem-solving
Ensure strong performance management using data, analytics, and customer experience insights
Develop scalable playbooks and SOPs to support new city launches and operational expansion
Requirements
Extensive experience in logistics, operations, or supply-chain leadership
Background in gig-economy / fleet-based operations (rideshare, food delivery, courier, etc.)
Strong strategic and analytical skill set, with proven KPI ownership
Leadership style that combines accountability with hands-on involvement
Experience managing and developing multi-city or multi-region operations
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration with senior stakeholders
Familiarity with last-mile delivery technologies and marketplace models
Degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, or similar (MBA a plus)
