Responsibilities & Objectives
Elemica is seeking a Vice President of Marketing to lead our global marketing strategy and execution, strengthen our market positioning, and generate demand that supports sustainable revenue growth.
Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will translate Elemica’s business priorities and commercial objectives into a clear and focused marketing strategy that connects our solutions to customer needs. You will lead brand, product, AI, digital, and customer marketing, and demand generation and corporate communications.
This role requires a leader who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You will build and continue to develop the marketing team, prioritize investment, and partner closely with Sales, Product, Client Service, Revenue Operations, and Human Resources to improve how Elemica attracts, wins, grows, and retains close customer relationships.
What You’ll Do
Demand Generation & Pipeline Growth
- Own the marketing plan for generating qualified demand and contributing to sales pipeline
- Develop integrated campaigns across digital channels, content, events, webinars, partners, and targeted account programs
- Partner with Sales on account-based marketing for priority enterprise accounts and buying groups
- Work with Revenue Operations to establish clear lead qualification, routing, follow-up, and measurement standards
- Use funnel performance and sales feedback to improve lead quality, conversion, and marketing effectiveness
- Balance near-term pipeline needs with longer-term market awareness and demand creation
Marketing Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute a global marketing strategy aligned with Elemica’s growth priorities, target markets, and commercial plans
- Translate business objectives into clear marketing goals, investment priorities, and measurable outcomes
- Define target audiences and ideal customer profiles with Sales, Product, and Revenue Operations
- Balance brand development, demand generation, and customer engagement across regions and industries
- Provide executive leadership with clear recommendations on market opportunities, investment trade-offs, and performance
Positioning & Product Marketing
- Articulate Elemica’s value proposition and differentiate its solutions in the enterprise supply chain technology market
- Translate complex capabilities into clear messaging focused on customer challenges and business outcomes
- Lead customer and market research, competitive intelligence, segmentation, and buyer insights
- Partner with Product and commercial leadership on launches, market readiness, and adoption
- Equip the sales team with compelling use cases, competitive positioning, customer evidence, and messaging
- Work with Sales Enablement on delivery and adoption
Brand, Content, & Communications
- Strengthen Elemica’s brand and ensure consistent messaging across customer touchpoints
- Lead the content strategy, including thought leadership, customer stories, industry perspectives, and executive communications
- Oversee the website and digital experience to improve engagement and conversion
- Manage external communications, public relations, and relevant industry and analyst relationships
- Establish clear quality standards for marketing materials and external communications
Customer & Partner Marketing
- Partner with Customer Success and Sales on customer engagement, advocacy, references, and expansion campaigns
- Develop customer case studies and evidence that demonstrate measurable business value
- Build marketing programs that help customers understand and adopt additional Elemica capabilities
- Work with partner leaders on joint campaigns, events, and other opportunities to reach relevant audiences
Performance, Budget, & Operational Alignment
- Own the marketing budget and allocate resources based on strategic priorities and evidence of effectiveness
- Establish performance measures with Finance and Revenue Operations, including qualified pipeline contribution, funnel conversion, and campaign efficiency
- Review results regularly, explain performance gaps, and adjust investment and execution
- Partner with Revenue Operations on reporting, attribution, data quality, and marketing processes
- Work with GTM Technology on the capabilities needed to support marketing execution and measurement
- Manage agencies and vendors against clear deliverables, quality expectations, and budgets
Team Development & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop an existing and growing global marketing team with clear responsibilities and performance expectations
- Assess team capabilities and determine the appropriate balance of internal expertise and external support
- Establish a practical planning and review cadence that supports prioritization and accountability
- Build strong working relationships across Sales, Product, Client Service, Revenue Operations, and Finance
- Create a culture of customer understanding, experimentation, collaboration, and consistent follow-through
What You’ll Need
- Typically 12 or more years of progressive B2B marketing experience, including significant leadership responsibility within enterprise software or SaaS
- Experience in supply chain technology, enterprise integration, manufacturing, or logistics is very highly preferred
- A track record of building and executing marketing strategies that contribute to qualified pipeline and revenue growth
- Experience leading multiple marketing disciplines, including demand generation, product marketing, brand, and digital marketing
- Strong understanding of complex enterprise buying processes, long sales cycles, and buying groups involving business and technology stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to position technical solutions in terms of customer value and business outcomes
- Experience leading teams, managing budgets, and prioritizing investment across competing needs
- Strong analytical judgment and the ability to evaluate marketing performance without overstating attribution
- Experience partnering effectively with senior Sales, Product, Finance, and Client Service leaders
- Familiarity with CRM, marketing automation, and analytics platforms, including Salesforce
- Clear communication skills, executive presence, and a hands-on approach to delivering results
- Experience working across international markets and distributed teams
