Position Overview:Small Giant Games is seeking a dynamic VP of Marketing to lead our global marketing strategy and drive go-to-market excellence for our current and future game portfolio. In this pivotal role, you'll oversee all marketing operations while spearheading comprehensive strategies that span the entire marketing funnel.
As our marketing leader, you'll guide and inspire our team across creative strategy, production, network optimization, and ASO. You'll optimize early game experiences to amplify marketing effectiveness and drive player engagement, while developing and executing global go-to-market plans that deliver exceptional ROI. A key aspect of this role involves partnering closely with Small Giant's leadership team to shape overall company strategy and future vision. You'll also collaborate with marketing leaders across Zynga studios to share insights, exchange best practices, and drive innovation
We're looking for someone with extensive experience in marketing leadership roles within free-to-play mobile games, bringing deep expertise in player behavior and platform ecosystems. You'll be our resident marketing expert, combining creative vision with analytical rigor to develop strategies that both excite players and deliver strong business results. The ideal candidate possesses a strategic mindset paired with hands-on execution capabilities.
As the driving force behind our marketing efforts, you'll create campaigns that captivate millions of players while fueling our continued growth and success in the competitive mobile gaming landscape.
What You'll Do:- Direct and own all marketing for the studio, and for the games we develop. Partner with the studio leadership team and central marketing partners to develop best in class go to market plans and long term franchise strategies
- Develop best in class marketing strategies and tactics for our titles across all platforms. Drive overall strategy, and partner with central marketing and UA teams to drive excellent execution, at all stages of the games life cycle. Guide and collaborate with central marketing team focused on media strategy, UA, social, lifecycle marketing, consumer insights
- Owner of marketing plan, brand budget and forecasting for title and division success
- Be a peer of studio leadership in defining roadmap and feature development that resonates with the target market
- Analyze performance of all divisional marketing programs to identify the best opportunities for focus and optimisation, regularly iterate to improve performance
- Lead marketing teams to produce outstanding creative and campaigns that are consistent across all channels and resonates with players
- Set clear goals and cascading KPIs/targets to link growth outcomes to marketing initiatives, monitor and analyse key marketing metrics to determine ROI of marketing spend and optimize marketing activities for impact to drive the LTV of our players
- Extensive experience in free-to-play, mobile game marketing, with a strong background of success and results across multiple game projects
- Significant leadership expertise and a track record of building successful teams and delivering and operating at scale
- Experience of launching new games and working on live games as a service
- Understanding of free-to-play acquisition, retention and monetizing key product indicators
- Experience in international marketing strategies
- Strong influencing and partnering skills; effective cross-functional driver
