JOB SUMMARY:
The Vice President, Market Access leads market access strategy across ARS Pharmaceuticals marketed and pipeline products, developing and maintaining sustainable access for patients, providers, and payers. This role ensures optimal access for neffy by demonstrating strong clinical and economic value, building a robust reimbursement infrastructure, and executing a proactive contracting strategy, while maintaining disciplined financial stewardship. As a critical member of the Commercial Leadership Team, the Vice President, Market Access partners closely with Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Commercial Operations to shape and deliver the broader commercial strategy. This role also contributes to New Product Planning as needed, providing commercial and market access perspectives, including payer and access dynamics, to inform business development opportunities. This position reports to the Chief Commercial Officer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead market access strategy across marketed and pipeline products, including patient access, formulary positioning, and reimbursement, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, brand positioning, and overall commercial strategy while balancing patient access, profitability, and long-term business goals.
- Serve as the organization's senior expert on payer engagement, reimbursement trends, patient access, contracting, and pricing.
- Manage Gross-to-Net strategy, government pricing reporting, and governance processes.
- Monitor and communicate financial risks and opportunities associated with market access strategies and contract decisions.
- Lead the pricing committee and serve as executive sponsor of the Deals Desk process, ensuring disciplined decision-making and appropriate financial oversight for pricing, discounts, rebates, and contracting arrangements.
- Provide executive oversight of all commercial and government contracting activities, including GPOs, IDNs, wholesalers, distributors, and other strategic customers.
- Oversee government pricing programs, including Medicaid, Medicare, 340B, Federal Supply Schedule (FSS), Veterans Affairs (VA), and applicable state programs.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state pricing regulations, government reporting requirements, and contractual obligations.
- Provide executive oversight of external vendors supporting Gross-to-Net calculations, contract administration, and pricing analytics.
- Manage and optimize comprehensive patient support strategies, including the copay program, cash program, telemedicine platform, and access hub for patients and healthcare providers.
- Optimize pharmacy and distribution networks to streamline patient access, manage DSA fees, and support retail and non-retail classes of trade.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Commercial Operations, and Medical Affairs to advance brand objectives and drive coordinated cross-functional commercial execution.
- Partner closely with Finance and Commercial Operations to inform forecasting, optimize contract investments, and manage revenue realization.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree required, or an acceptable combination of education and relevant experience. Advanced degree preferred (MBA, PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent).
- 15+ years of commercial experience, with direct responsibility for market access strategy, pricing, and reimbursement within the life sciences industry, including at least 5 years of people-leadership experience.
- Extensive expertise and strong relationships with key decision-makers at pharmacy benefit managers and national/regional payers.
- Experience with Medicaid policy, contracting, and reimbursement frameworks.
- Experience in categories involving generic competitors and/or acute medication products highly preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Strong analytical, strategic, and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of the payer landscape, market access dynamics, and current trends affecting reimbursement, contracting, and financial implications for brands.
- Ability to travel domestically up to 15%, as needed.
