About the department
P&O Business Partnering is an area within People and Organisation consisting of units that collaborate closely with the Global P&O Services and the P&O Centres of Excellences, to help bridge the global P&O community with the line of business. We act as strategic advisors to the business and play a pivotal role in supporting Novo Nordisk' success providing guidance to our leaders and employees within our fields of expertise including but not limited to: Organisational Development & M&A, Health & Safety, People Relations & Compliance, Training & Capability Building as well as HR Business Partnering.
Position overview
As the Vice President & Head of Staffs P&O Business Partnering, you will drive the development and execution of Human Resource strategies and policies across Novo Nordisk, focusing on several key staff areas including Finance, Legal & Global Solutions, People & Organisation, and Corporate Development. Additionally, you will serve as the HR Business Partner to the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Karsten Munk Knudsen.
Although this position will focus on three diverse staff areas, we are curious about executives that will have ideally highly specialised knowledge of significant importance to our CFO (Finance, Legal & Global Solutions) but also who have had exposure to other business units within an organization.
Key responsibilities:

  • Translate business strategies, challenges and priorities into people and organisational plans for the designated staff areas
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the CFO (Finance, Legal and Global Solutions)
  • Head a team of 12 people, including 2 leaders
  • Collaborate with the Business and align with Global P&O, to address diverse HR related matters including:
    • HR Annual Wheel activities,
    • Organizational Development and Effectiveness,
    • Change Management,
    • Talent Management and Development,
    • Workforce Management,
    • Culture, Engagement and DEI


Consistently works with complex issues that require broad-based sustainable solutions involving other functions across Novo Nordisk. Develops long and short-term business strategies and plans and oversees implementation. Identifies needs and opportunities for overall strategic changes in the culture and organisation or in the way by which the business is positioned.
In this role, you will report to the SVP, P&O Business Partnering, Mille Borchorst and become an active member of both P&O Business Partnering leadership team as well as Finance, Legal and Global Solutions management team.
The position will be based in Denmark.
Qualifications & work experience
Relevant university degree within e.g. business administration, economics, marketing, HR related or similar. A master's degree is desirable.
As a seasoned leader, with a proven track record of progressive and relevant HR experience having managed global teams (including leaders) for minimum +5 years. Consulting experience is highly desirable.
