Job description

We are seeking a Vice President of Engineering to lead our technology strategy and execution. This is the most senior role in engineering, reporting directly to the CEO. It is an opportunity to build and scale a transformative platform from the ground up.

 

As VP of Engineering, you will drive platform growth and innovation, advance AI and machine learning capabilities, and redefine how borrowers request financing and how lenders evaluate opportunities. You will architect, scale, and innovate a platform that sets a new industry standard, working alongside a visionary executive team and industry leading partners.

Location: NYC in office (Preferred)

Key Responsibilities

As the most senior engineering leader, you will report directly to the CEO and be responsible for:

  • Technology and Product Strategy: Define and execute the technical roadmap focused on scalability, security, and innovation.
  • Engineering Leadership: Oversee engineering, architecture, and DevOps teams, ensuring strong alignment with business goals.
  • Data and AI Innovation: Build infrastructure to support analytics, AI solutions, and automation.
  • Security and Compliance: Maintain compliance with key regulations (including maintaining our SOC2 certification) and lead security practices.
  • Scalable Infrastructure: Guide cloud architecture, optimize AWS resources, and improve system performance.
  • Cross Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, sales, and corporate development teams.
  • Talent Development: Recruit, mentor, and retain engineering talent while fostering a high performance culture.
  • Technical Vision and Execution: Own the long term technology vision to keep Bridge ahead of industry trends.

What You Bring

  • 7+ years of engineering experience with at least 3+ years in leadership role.
  • Expertise in SaaS, cloud technologies, and modern software development. Fintech and/or marketplace experience preferred.
  • Success scaling teams and delivering impactful technology solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of security, compliance, and financial technology regulations.
  • Experience with DevOps, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and data driven product innovation.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to attract, develop, and retain talent.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strategic vision and ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Passion for fintech and reshaping business lending.
