As a Business Operations Vice President in Commercial & Investment Bank - Payments and Global Banking Technology, you will operate in a dynamic environment to guide operational strategy Responsibilities include maintaining an inventory of operational cadences, strategic alignment of payment technology initiatives, executive level reporting and communications, and collaborating with key partners to develop strong business cases. You will engage stakeholders to gain alignment and secure product commitment to move projects into execution. In this role, you will champion operational excellence, putting customers and the firm's interests at the forefront of every decision and strategic alignment.
Job responsibilities
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance way of working across cross-functional partners in a fast-paced environment, aligning with JPMorgan Chase values and strategic objectives.
- Maintain a detailed inventory of operational opportunities with clear prioritization criteria.
- Establish and coordinate appropriate working groups for each opportunity, as needed.
- Communicate concise, transparent status updates to key stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Identify risks and roadblocks early; escalate to the appropriate leadership within Stability and Resiliency, and partner Operations areas; recommend mitigation plans.
- Ensure decisions and trade-offs consistently prioritize customer outcomes, operational risk management, and the firm’s long-term interests.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management
- Proven track record of leading in a complex, fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and present robust business cases

Maintain data quality controls: reconcile sources, validate definitions/logic, investigate breaks, and document root cause + remediation steps.
Build and refresh standardized dashboards/KPI packs; ensure metric definitions and methodologies are consistent and audit-ready.
Draft and operationalize communications (nudges/reminders, manager enablement notes, FAQs) using approved templates and tracking outcomes.
Maintain learning/Guidebook content updates (slides/job aids/quick guides) and enforce formatting/clarity standards so content stays practical and current.
Prepare polished PowerPoint materials for senior stakeholders (weekly/monthly updates, operating reviews, metrics readouts); ensure storyline, accuracy, and “ready to send” formatting.
Identify operational issues, recommend pragmatic solutions, and support implementation of fixes (process improvements, automation steps, and controlled use of LLM-enabled workflows where applicable).
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Broad base of Commercial and Investment Bank (CIB) knowledge, including business, operations, and/or technology is preferred
- Comfortable challenging the status quo and getting stakeholder buy-in to proposed solutions
- High level of ownership and drive; self-starter with relentless focus on execution and self-improvement
- Record of developing and nurturing an open, collaborative, and enabling team culture
- Familiarity using JIRA, JIRA Align, FIGMA, Lucid Boards
